This is one of the best do it all books out there! You can find books that cover a particular project maybe a little more thorough, but then you'd have to buy a library worth of books to get the basics that this book covers. I'd highly recommend it to any do-it-yourselfer.

As a general reference book covering most residential application this book has been invaluable to me as a home owner and contractor. I've used this manual for 20 years. My son just purchased a house and was given this manual as a gift. For home owners and contractors this is a good basic reference book.
