5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Inspection Report
I have been using this report in my business for 5 years. It is easy to use and easy for clients to understand. I can deliver my report onsite and move on to the next inspection. It is also a great risk management tool, with a good inspection contract and necessary disclaimers. Anyone looking to get into the home inspection business should consider this report.

1.0 out of 5 stars Outdated, Inadequate
This reporting system is out of date -- it has the old inspection standards in it. It is cumbersome to use -- it is 132 pages (33 pages times 4 when you include the additional carbonless NCR pages for each page). It's emphasis is on "descriptive items" -- what type of material the roof is made out of -- rather than evaluative items -- type of defects you...

It's emphasis is on "descriptive items" -- what type of material the roof is made out of -- rather than evaluative items -- type of defects you need to look for in evaluating the roof. It also misses on emphasizing some of the riskiest items/areas in the home -- stairs and bathrooms. I felt like I was paying for the high cost of carbonless NCR paper.

I have been using this inspection report in my business for years. This report is a big reason for my success. The realtors and clients love this on-site report. It also contains the necessary legal information (contract, disclaimers, etc.) to protect my business. I definitely recommend taking a look at this inspection report.

5.0 out of 5 stars Home Inspection Report, April 21, 2000

I found the report to be user friendly and well accepted by the consumer. This is a 4 part 33 page report. The report takes you through the property, from the exterior to the basement. There are 15 pages to fill out, with checklist and places for comments. The educational comments on the backside of the report are very helpful to the customer. A nice feature is guidelines for the home inspector to insure we do not miss anything, which is on the back of the fourth copy. The inspection agreement is very complete with the option to insert the standards that you use. The report comes with the current ASHI standards, which is recognized throughout the country. The summary page allows one to list major problems, safety hazards and deferred cost items. My Customers and the Real Estate industry have given the report high marks for readability.
