I was really surprised to see no reviews for this book written in 1993. It is a wonderful read. This book reminds me whenever I see it sitting on my bookshelf that they are some wonderful writers of lesbian fiction who are not as well known as they should be. The book is the second novel written by Paula Martinac who won a Lambda Literary Award for Best Lesbian Fiction in 1990 with 'Out of Time' (which I also highly recommend). Home Movies proves what a wonderful talent Martinac is as she weaves the reader through a family's complex reaction to loss filtered through the memory of a lesbian novelist. If you see this novel buy it. It is worth the money.
