This is actually a Lockstate lock. I have not been able to figure out who Home Netwerks is or how to access them other than to register and subscribe for service on the lock. The control panel on the website is identical to Lockstate control panel but if you register with Netwerks you cannot access the Lockstate control without paying for another registration. Some of the instructions do not work but the manual was accurate and set up was not too bad. Model number does not exist for this lock and I had to try and find out which one would work. The Lockstate number LS-L500i seems to do the trick. If I had to do again i would have just registered with Lockstate since all of the support seems to come from them. Bottom line you get a Lockstate lock for $50.00 less than the one advertised with Lockstate. Keys are Kwikset blanks so they could be easily duplicated. Lock seems to work fine after I finally got it set up. I recommend you just lay it on your desk until you get it doing what you want before you install it, this is a lot easier than running back and forth.

12/2013: I had issues with the first deadbolt and had to return it. The replacement model did not have issues. It's been a long time since replacing it so I don't remember the issues specifically, but they involved the wifi capability.

Fast forward several months later, and I can say the lock itself is decent, but the "online" component is really awful. The company sells two versions of online connectivity. The lower tier ($1/month) allows for remote programming of the lock. The higher tier ($2/month) includes email/text (SMS) notifications whenever the lock is unlocked--SUPPOSEDLY. This feature is hit or miss at best. Often my notifications don't come through until several DAYS later, and more often, they never come at all. Their online-only support forum (there's no phone number to call, it's just an automated online help desk) never acknowledged my issues. That was the first issue. My second issue was that for the better part of a full WEEK, their website was DOWN!! I could not add/modify codes or remotely program the device in ANY WAY. This is a major show-stopper for anyone using this device on a rental property. Again: No response from the company via their online "help desk"

If you need geek-factor whizbang "Wows" from friends and neighbours, go with this deadbolt.

If you need a basic electronic deadbolt go with another company: you'll pay half as much, from a trusted company such as schlage or kwikset.

If you NEED reliable remote programming and notifications, go with another company. These jokers are charging monthly subscriptions for a service they cannot even reliably provide.

UPDATE: 3/2014:
This is an update to my previous review. A couple more months have passed, and even More issues have arisen.

In today's day, items like this should not require a monthly fee. There are other products that do the same thing w/out gouging us for a monthly fee.
