Materials used: An environmentally friendly material called "engineered wood," a combination of high quality hard wood and soft wood materials which are residuals of other lumber processes. These materials are bonded together with a synthetic resin, then applied to high heat and pressure. The result is dense, strong panels which are then laminated and cut into pieces. What tools are needed? (Complete assembly instructions are provided with the unit) Phillips screwdriver and a hammer. Although it may prove helpful during assembly of our larger items, using a power screwdriver could cause damage to your furniture if screws are over tightened.

The first thing to know is that this isn't a fancy piece of furniture, but I was looking for practical and affordable. It's cheap, but really handy. We have no storage on the main floor of our house, and we have a toddler, so I didn't want to invest in gorgeous furniture. It is not gorgeous, but it isn't ugly- it is exactly what you'd expect from something made from particle board, but oh it has so much room in it. I just hung our coats in the same spot that I put the vacuum cleaner, and the door still shuts! There's room for blankets, a utility tub, shoes, hats, gloves, etc. The house suddenly looks cleaner, and that makes up for the boring exterior. We plan to put sheet metal on the doors, anyway, so that our daughter can put her magnet toys all over it... It will be colorful then!

Product is worth the money. However, I didn't look at packagingslip (I didn't see it anywhere) and was sent the wrong item, I think. I wanted a full wardrobe to hang coats, etc. So, am disappointed--not with the item, but with the mixup with the order number.
