Great House Warming Present
I'm a fan of these books, I own the Baby Manual, Toddler Manual oh yeah, and the dog manual. I've purchased a few of these for gifts as well and always get a great reaction. I have a graphics design background and the diagrams that are within are simple and great. I love how the authors simplify and categorize tips and advice. This should be on any home owners' shelf,...

Not what I expected
Sadly, this book spends more time being funny than it does offering sound advice and instructions for actual home maintenance. If I had bought it for entertainment purposes, it would have been great, but I got it to help me care for my home...something it doesn't do.

This should be on any home owners' shelf, mind you not as their only "Home Owner's Manual" but as a quick reference and an reminder to not be so uptight.
