Diane Willow wrote At Home in the Rain Forest to raise public consciousness of the fact that the rain forest is a diverse and amazing ecosystem. Diane is on the staff of the Children's Museum of Boston, where she helps create scientific exhibits, artistic programs, and interactive experiences for children. A graduate of Boston University, Diane is also studying at the Center for Advanced Visual Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Laura's career began in the field of advertising, which led her into the world of fashion illustration. She has illustrated several children's books, including At Home in the Rainforest, written by Diane Willow (Charlesbridge, 1991), Going to a Horse Farm, written by Shirley Kerby James (Charlesbridge, 1992), Wildlife Refuge: A Classroom Adventure, written by Lorraine Ward (Charlesbridge, 1993) and Sweet Magnolia, written by Virginia Kroll (Charlesbridge, 1996).
