What can I say, I have loved this CD since I heard it back in 1995. It is a great all around CD, with a catchy opening song, "Home Run", to a very serious and song, "The Vow", which is my favorite track on the album. I love this CD and highly recommend it!

Of the Four Geoff Moore and the Distance CDs I have listened to (Foundations, Threads, Evolution, and this one), Home Run is by far my favorite. It's a great CD. The lyrics do an excellent job of showing Christ's incredible love for us, how he has plans for our lives, and how he supports us as we carry out those plans.
The songs on the CD have a variety of musical styles, from the hard-drving rock that the group is best know for to slow, lyrical numbers.
Enjoy!

Homerun is a fantastic album! I'm not a big fan of music thats not made within the last 10 years, but this CD really brings back memories of what got me listening to music.

I remember it like it was yesterday: it was 1995, and I was relishing my luxurious gunmetal black Magnavox boom box. I had my own CD player, but I didn't have any CDs of my own. This plastic carapace was divinely ordained for sending a reflective compact discus on its whirring musical waltz. This horrid plight seem poised to ruin the glorious reception of this monolithic Christmas present, for which the radio and cassette deck might as well have been afterthoughts as the Magnavox lurked on my nightstand like a gunmetal toad.

That all changed when I got Home Run. Nothing could have prepared me for what my ears were about to experience; within moments, I had lost my aural virginity. By the time I finished listening to Home Run, it was like I’d absorbed all of the collected wisdom of Buddha, Sun-Tzu, and Pee-Wee Herman in one afternoon. I was no longer a boy; in forty-five minutes, I had become a man.

Who doesn't love baseball? Everybody loves baseball. It's very, very, very American. Geoff Moore and the Distance are almost as American. The second song on the album is called New Americans, and it's so patriotic that I think I can hear an eagle howling and an American flag waving in the wind every time I hear it. This groundbreaking record is a concept album; one which introduces the epic struggle between our protagonists Geoff Moore and the Distance (the Beatles for Generation X), and the wicked forces of The Biggar. The first, amazing track lays it all out.
