It feels like- Home - Sheena, March 12, 2008
Sheena Easton's Home cd was a sheer delight to listen to. I found a great deal on it from Japan and purchased it and the cd arrived today. It features 10 songs and a few of them are her slow versions and some are so touching, 1 made me cry honestly. Sheena and Laura Branigan who were first artists in my life. The 10 songs are: Our House, St. Judy's Comet, Moon, Something Good, Never Saw a Miracle, Not While I'm Around, Who Knows? Take Me Home, My Treasure Is You and Carry a Dream. I know deep down I made a great purchase to go with my collection of fine music. My favorite songs are: My Treasure is You, Something Good, and the tear jerker - Never Saw a Miracle.

Alright, so Sheena Easton hasn't exactly been on the charts lately, Hell, she hasn't even released anything in America! But I can tell you one thing, if she or whoever has control over these things doesn't release this album in the states, they are INSANE! I've been a faithful Sheena fan since the beginning of her career, and I can truly say that this is probably her best album to date! I think the fact that she produced the whole thing herself, has quite a bit to do with that. Let's face it, she's been around the block in the music business, she's had high points and low, she's got incredible range, she can sing anything, and she's got enough albums under her belt to prove these points. She's finally taking control and it's showing. The remakes of Our House and St. Judy's Comet are oustanding! All the tracks have a certain power and you can feel pride and emotion in her voice. Sheena Easton is on her way back on her own terms and she's doing it by producing some damn good stuff, not since No Strings has she done an album that I can't wait to lend to everyone I know.

There have been CD's that I would buy just for the name, and this was one of those CD's. When I heard Sheena Easton has the new CD out, I bought it without a sample of any of the songs on there. I knew that because it said "Sheena Easton" on it, it had to be good. Well, I was NOT disappointed. This CD really proves why Sheena Easton was a force in the 1980's. Her voice only gets better with age and has aged even better than the finest of wines. There is not a song on this CD that Sheena cannot deliver to the audience listening to her. Among the well-picked songs, "Moon" really stands out as my favorite. I have always been a HUGE fan of Sheena Easton, the ballad singer. This song shows me just why I am that huge fan. It is very, very engulfing and just takes you over. Also, I have to mention the AWESOME track, "Carry A Dream." If anyone out there needs an inspirational song in an hour of need, look no farther than this track! "Carry A Dream's" lyrics are some of the MOST BEAUTIFUL lyrics I have EVER read in my life and the left me feeling very positive and ready to attain goals. Leave it to Sheena to deliver this single with perfection and ease. This, along with "Moon," are the highlights of the CD! All in all, this is one of Sheena's BEST offerings to date. She shows that she is just as much of a diva now as she ever was and backs it up with a stellar CD. I commend Sheena for all she is doing now with her music and her family. She is truly a class act!!!!
