5.0 out of 5 stars Back To Basics With Home Schooling
This was probably one of the best books I have read on Home Schooling. The Moore's get back to the basics with the teachings of our children. The information is nothing new, but it is something that hasn't been done in the last 50 yrs. They have brought back the training of kids from how it had been done for hundreds of years to how it is done now. After reading...

2.0 out of 5 stars Some good ideas but not really about home schooling
I got this book because I like the Moores and have several of their other books, but this one felt "preachy" to me. I expected a book about homeschooling. After reading the wonderful suggestions and life stories I feel I to can do this wonderful thing for my children. Thanks again Dr. and Mrs. Moore.

2.0 out of 5 stars Some good ideas but not really about home schooling, January 24, 2011
This review is from: Home Style Teaching: A Handbook for Parents and Teachers (Hardcover)
I got this book because I like the Moores and have several of their other books, but this one felt "preachy" to me. I expected a book about homeschooling. Instead, I got a book about how to raise my children. I already have my parenting style decided upon and wasn't looking for that type of advice. I would recommend a title change so others aren't deceived into thinking they're getting a topic that is not the topic of the book.

If it had been possible to look into the book, I could have seen it wasn't what I wanted, but - at this time at least - there are no images to view.
