Great for setting up a buffet table at parties, It gives you that extra counter space and storage space that's missing in your kitchen and it's portable.

This item is so, so much better than I'd hoped. My husband and I recently bought "the" house, which was practically perfect in every way... EXCEPT the kitchen is tiny, storage is limited and soon to be more limited, since there's not a dishwasher and we're sacrificing some of the limited cabinet space to install one.

This piece fit seamlessly into an open space in the kitchen. It looks amazing, it's incredibly sturdy (actual wood, not particle board) and it's added at least 30% of usable storage space to our small kitchen and has probably doubled the counter space. We didn't install the paper towel holder so that it would sit flush against the fridge. My husband is a chef and I love to cook, which makes the kitchen one of the most important places in our home.

Our kids (4 and 5 1/2) love the breakfast bar, and it makes an ideal surface for them to either eat while I work, or "help" me cook and the SS surface cleans up in a snap. It was probably the easiest piece of furniture that I've ever assembled, they even thought to include extra hardware.

My only criticism is that one of the 4 drawers is a bit sticky, but quite frankly, the whole thing is so functional, I wouldn't care if all 4 drawers were stickey! I only wish we had room for a second one, it was, without question, worth every penny.

I received this product today at around noon. It's about 8:30 pm now and I've finally finished putting most of it together. There's just one drawer left. Overall, it looks very nice, but there's some things I'd like to point out:

1. A lot of the screw holes were drilled unevenly. In some cases, I couldn't screw in certain pieces without drilling my own holes to get them in place. For example, one of the first steps in the assembly of this cart is to screw the wheels on. There are three holes for each wheel in a triangular shape. For one of the wheels, the holes were lined up properly so I could screw the wheel on. For the others, no matter how I positioned the wheel, one of the holes was out of place. This occurred with several other parts as well.

2. Some of the holes weren't drilled flush with the wood. This means screws sometimes go in at an angle, rather than straight. As a result, there are gaps between certain pieces and some pieces can't be tightened properly. I'm going to have to find a way to fill those gaps since a couple roaches find their way into my apartment each week (they crawl in through the drain in the shower, been trying to get the landlord to fix it for two years now) and I definitely don't want to see them in my kitchen cart. There are definitely some significant flaws in workmanship and quality with this product. I'm guessing this varies from cart to cart, so your experience may differ.

3. In one case, one of the pre-inserted screws was actually screwed in at an angle. This was for the sliding metal thing that you insert the drawers into. I couldn't put in my middle drawer and couldn't fix the screw, so I had to remove the screw entirely to get the drawer to fit in.

If you're looking for a breakfast bar, look no further. Assembly was very simple with the instuctions provided. All of the parts were present, including extra screws, etc.. The non-European hinges, wheels, and drawers work smoothly and the wood is heavy and strong where it needs to be. The stainless top will scratch just like wood but can be polished out and is less of a food safety hazard. If you don't mind the assembly time (it took me about 3 hours), you'll be very happy you purchased it.

First I'll start off with the good points. It showed up well packed. I was nervous because FedEx just dumped it by the garage (they're awful anymore, don't even ring the doorbell and I was home!) and it had big holes in the box. I was dreading the damage and having to return it. But, all of the contents were fine. One minor mark on the top, but only noticed because I was carefully looking for damage. Second, the quality of the materials is good for something you need to assemble yourself. Some parts are thin wood, but it's all solid wood, not particle board or cardboard.

Most of the assembly went well, most of the holes were in the right places. It took about 2 1/2 hrs to assemble by myself. Likely would have been faster with a second pair of hands, and the stainless top is heavy and awkward with the wood fold-down leaf attached.

The problems I ran into were the center section where the drawers go. There just isn't any place for screws and it remains wobbly, which presents problems getting the drawers to slide right later. I couldn't really find a place to add an inconspicuous extra screw to correct this. Another contributor to assembly problems is that each place a machine screw goes, there's a nut to receive it on the other side. At first this seemed like a great thing, no accidentally splitting wood. The problem is that some of the nuts aren't snug enough and spin, so you can never get the bolt tight enough. In most places, attaching the top or another piece solved the problem, but that middle section was still problematic. It didn't make the cart unsteady or anything that bad, just a bit of stickiness opening and closingthe drawers because the tracks aren't quite straight. I think a few shims and adjustment of the drawer hardware will fix it, though.
