I priced similar counters at ikea, and this one gave me more of what I was looking for and for a lot less.

It came in 33 parts, plus 112 screws, knobs, wheels, etc. But the instructions were great! Each piece had a letter on it so there was no confusing which part was which. I laid it out and built it while watching the food network.

Some of these reviews called it a two person job, but I had zero times where I needed a second person. The very first step was a little awkward for one, but worked out just fine. The rest was a breeze, except assembling the drawers took some strength to get the screws to bite into the wood right.

The piece is assembled, in the kitchen and looks great. Also, I am NOT handy. I leave gaping holes where a screw should have been. So if I can build it, anyone could. :)

I love my Napa kitchen center!! My only complaint is that it is a little difficult to put together with only one person. Definitely a two person job...so it took me a little longer than I would have liked to assemble, but the outcome is magnificent!! I love it love it love it! Great for a small kitchen for extra counter/cabinet space!!!

Purchased the Napa kitchen center to gain not only the counter space but storage space as well. The center delivers both; it is a perfect size and we are able to store quite few things in it. The counter space is great to work on. We also like being able to move the island around the kitchen as needed.
The center is made well with attention to detail and looks great in our kitchen.
With two of us assembly was easier than expected; all pieces were marked and instructions were clear and easy to follow.

Delivery was prompt from shipper to the West Coast. From there we used freight forwarder to have the merchandise delivered to Hawaii.

First of all, you've got to put the whole thing together. I was very impressed with how well each piece was labeled, down to individual bags of screws and bolts (with labels like "screws for drawer sides"). I was equally impressed with the clarity of the instructions, the ease of assembly, and the precision with which each piece fit together. With something like this, there's LOTS of potential for misaligned holes, slots, pegs, and anything else you could think of. Everything fit together perfectly. The wood is good-quality too. The end result is something that's solid, very durable and fairly attractive; it looks just like the picture on Amazon. I never review stuff like this, but I was so impressed that I'm making an exception. Highly recommended.

I have put together many pre-drilled products. I was incredibly impressed with how thorough the builders were with labeling and instructions. It could have been extremely complex, but they they made it straightforward to put together. Also it is attractive and very sturdy. The company shipped quickly and was very proactive - they actually called us to let us know they shipped it. Worth every dollar.

I Love this island. When we moved into our new rental property I knew right away there was going to be a problem with the size of the kitchen. I need more counter space and storage. This island is both. I love the fact that it is on wheels and I can put it right next to the sink and oven. It has locking wheels and stays put. The two drawers are a little narrow, my rolling pin is too long to fit but the 9 in carving knife fits fine. The cupboards are deep and store alot. this is the best island for the price.

I'm very happy with this product. It's made of high quality wood, and all the pieces fit together very snugly. It's not only well thought out and extremely useful, but also quite attractive. The cupboards are sufficient to store my frequently used pots and pans, and two drawers are nice for storing all sorts of other odds and ends. Plus the counter offers a great big workspace for chopping/cutting etc. I also like that the counter is fairly high, meaning a tall guy like myself doesn't need to stoop too much to work on it. Once assembled, I was impressed how solid the whole construction seems.

Assembling this monster is a major undertaking. First off, just getting the enormous and rediculously heavy box from the porch to the kitchen was quite a feat. Opening up the *huge* box and seeing part after part after part come out is definitely an intimidating experience. Also the instructions are pretty bad. The pictures are too small to see certain important details, and some of the diagrams are just plain wrong. I ended up assembling and unassembling certain parts a few times before I got it right, due to the shoddy instructions. That said, the whole process took me (working alone) maybe 3-4 hours total.

Challenging installation aside, like I said before, I couldn't be happier with the end product. And at the price they charge for this thing on Amazon, it's an absolute steal.

The review title pretty much says it all. Package arrived quickly and the parts inside were meticulously wrapped and packed, and clearly labeled according to the instructions.

After unwrapping and setting out the parts, it was easy to follow the instructions to put together. While one person could conceivably assemble the unit by him- or herself, I would recommend having a second person on-hand to help hold the larger pieces in alignment and to lift and turn the unit as is instructed during assembly.

It took me a couple hours to put it together, because I like to work slow and careful. When complete, the island cart is solid and large enough to hold our microwave and toaster on top and still have 1/3 counter space left over.

All-in-all, I'm very satisfied with this product. It was an excellent buy at half the cost of some other islands I've seen.

Bought this almost 2 years ago...I had a baby on the way and felt I needed extra space for all of my "baby and nursing supplies" such as pumping parts, bottles, baby food, etc...I didn't seem to have any kitchen cabinet or counter space to spare. We bought this and LOVE it. It looks nice in our kitchen and has served our purposes well for now 2 babies. :-) I like having cabinets to conceal random bottle parts, and there are some nice shelves for cookbooks and such. It is somewhat large, so really pull out your tape measure and be sure you want something this big before you buy...but the good news is it has wheels. We just wheel it out of the way when sweeping or loading the dishwasher, etc...
When I no longer need it for baby supplies it will make a great sandwich station and prep area. There are a lot of cheap islands out there, of poor quality. I feel this is a good quality island for the price. 2 years have passed, and no buyer's remorse! :-)

This cart came very fast...and in a million pieces. It took me about 4 hours alone to build this and the instructions were a little confusing....(i put pieces on backwards twice) but it finally came together. I did howerver take the towel holder off only because it was in the way of where i set it...but the whole thing all in all is great! The is actually better than what i expected. The only thing i was a little disappionted in was that the back is not solid wood...it's the plywood kind of board. It's okay though...i still love this cart. Great for the money. I would recommend this to anyone; and i already have.
