I purchased this desk for my daughter's room, and I'm very pleased with it. The design is clean and simple, the materials are solid wood and very sturdy, and the drawers glide smoothly on metal rails. There are no plastic, cardboard, or fiberboard parts.
The desk does require some assembly, which I don't recall being mentioned in the product's description, but that's simply a matter of attaching the legs and stretch bars using bolts and screws, all of which are supplied. The entire job required about 30 minutes from start to finish.
I have some advice regarding the instructions for attaching the legs. First, if your legs are labeled the same as the ones I received, and if your printed instructions are the same as what was included in my box, then the illustration incorrectly displays the position of legs B and C--they should be reversed. Pay close attention to the drilled holes where the stretch bars will attach, and make sure they are aligned properly. If you go by the illustrated positions for legs B and C, then the drilled holes for the stretch bars will be on the wrong side. Also, when attaching the legs with the bolts, leave the bolts loose until you have inserted the stretch bars between the legs and fitted the dowels into the drilled holes. Then finish tightening the bolts on the legs completely. Last, use the wood screws to secure the stretch bars in place.
Now that I have verified the quality of the furniture, I'm considering purchasing a shelf attachment to go with it.
