Once we had the cabinet finally assembled, it was a beautiful piece of furniture. The wood is a deep cherry red and the knobs are a brushed nickle finish, which was just what we wanted. The bottom shelf is enough to hold at least 12 large 1.75L bottles, and the doors can hold another 12 750mL bottles. I had shopped in brick and mortar stores at similar cabinets, which cost $900-$1000, so this was a great price too.

That being said, I am knocking off 2 stars because we had a lot of difficultly assembling it. The door hinges were not aligned, so the doors wouldn't close. We purchased from "Everything Furniture" on Amazon, who were friendly and fast to respond to our complaint. They shipped out replacement doors and side panels the day after we emailed them. However, only 1 of the new doors worked correctly, so we still had the same problem. We ended up taking off the hinges and re-hanging the doors ourselves. We were very close to sending this product back since we couldn't get the doors to work, even with the replacement parts. Looking at the other reviews, ours was not a unique experience.

Also, be aware that the cabinet ships in 2 very large boxes (~50 pounds each.) You might need 2 people to move these indoors.

All-in-all, a good product for the price, but be prepared to do some of your own carpentry work to get this sucker assembled!

I purchased this bar from Target. I placed my order at 3am on a Monday morning and it arrived at my house on Tuesday with free standard shipping. I wasn't expecting it to arrive for several more days, so it sat on my front porch much longer than I would have liked. Thank God my neighbors are honest!

The bar was very well packaged and nothing was damaged. I purchased the cherry stain and was pleasantly surprised that is wasn't nearly as red as it looks in the picture. The cherry is much more of a true dark brown with very little if any red at all.

My husband had it assembled in just a couple hours and said it wasn't incredibly hard. Although, he has always been very good at assembling furniture. He did need a second person to help hold the doors; luckily he had a friend over at the time. You must drill the holes for the doors and if they aren't absolutely perfect, opening and closing the doors will eventually mar the woodwork. Also, be sure you assemble everything in the order that it says in the instructions or you will find yourself back peddling.

With 15% off orders over $125, I saved $85 and another $45 with free shipping. Walmart sells this exact same piece but they only carry black and don't offer free shipping or "ship to store". Therefore Target was a much better deal.

The wood is very good quality, the color is perfect for my kitchen. When it is opened up, it also provides 60" of counter space which comes in handy. The thing I love the most, is there are tiny wheels on the bottom that you can't see when it's assembled. Which is a must have; I have already had to turn it around multiple times! I absolutely love this little bar! I will include some pics.

A nice looking bar made out of quality materials. Very hard to put together with one person and had to go back to the manufacturer twice because the proper parts were not pre-drilled into the door. I also had to manually adjust the doors so they would close properly. Wheel locks on the wheels would have been nice.

While searching the web for a portable bar we came across this item. We debated for a few months about purchasing this Steamer Trunk Bar as it was difficult to judge the size and number of bottles it would hold. Also the Cherry colour in the picture was too red for our taste however a previous review indicated the actual bar is not as red as shown. Finally took the plunge and have been very satisfied. It was very well packaged and arrived in only 3 or 4 days from placing the order. Took approx 90 min. to put together and there were a few marks on the finish of the door but nothing a touch-up marker/pen cannot fix. The colour is just what we hoped for, a deeper richer cherry that matches our furniture. We have over 20 bottles of various sizes stored in the unit and is still sturdy and easy to move around. Folds up nice and tucks into a corner of the room, some people do not even recognize it as a bar. Will be great for extra counter space during family gatherings as well. The reason for a 4 rating instead of 5 is that there is a slight drag on one of the doors and no hinge adjustment. To eliminate this I just lift the door up slightly as I open and close it.

I did a lot of searching to find a reasonably priced bar with lots of storage. This bar definitely meets that title and it is a very nice piece of furniture once it's together. A lot of the reviews I read said the assembly was difficult and even that some of the pieces didn't fit or were damaged. I didn't have any problem with damage, but the assembly was difficult. Once I had the whole thing together, the right door didn't close, so we had to use an elastic. Basically the magnet wasn't reaching the other magnet. It looked like the hinges were too big and blocking the door from closing, so we order another set of hinges. Very quick response and delivery, however, the sent the hinges for the wrong side. Eventually, after playing around with a few screws, I was able to adjust the magnet to stick out further, so both doors now close.

All in all, it's a nice piece of furniture and holds a lot of glasses and bottles. A lot of patience is required putting it together and troubleshooting, but the price can't be beat.

I bought this bar for my husband. We had found a similar bar in a local furniture store for a lot more money, and that was for the floor model. It is good quality for a veneered piece of furniture. There is a lot of space inside. It is a little bit of a pain to assemble, but only because a lot of things have to go together at once. It is nice that it is castered as well, so we can move it out if we are having a party. I am very happy with it, and have gained two shelves of storage space in the kitchen.
