Excellent, very funny, a little outrageous, November 19, 2011
This review is from: Home Sweet Home 2010 A.D. (Paperback)
Here it is the end of 2011, and I just finished this book and a non-fiction financial book called the Little Book of Bull Moves in Bear Markets by Peter D. Schiff (Yeah, I reviewed that one a little also). How ironic that they both discuss the same world ... the one we live in today, with no jobs and a lot of people standing there wondering who stole all their savings.
This is a delightful satire ... a little off-color language, poking more than a little fun at bigots, survivalists, militarists, incompetent or greedy politicians, hippies, free thinkers, some very under-estimated Apaches, a blackmailed hit man that almost gets hit, and people trying to survive and understand what is going on in a world with the bottom fallen out of it.
If you need a moment to take a deep breath before you try to figure out what to do next in real time, catch this book. Personally, I think it is great ... as readable today as anything he wrote.
