Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review

This Mac-centric book offers many ideas and design tips for family pages, but somewhat less in the way of practical training. Home Sweet Home Page teaches basic home page design and tells you what tools you'll need to build pages. It also provides very brief explanations of the Internet, the Web, and browsers. This guide's strength is its tips on content and suggestions on how to attract your family or group to your home page and encourage them to visit often. Schools, churches, support groups, book clubs, and other small groups can also utilize this guide.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ideas for a Family Web Site, July 31, 2004
By
The Pen (Greenville, NC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Home Sweet Home Page (Paperback)
This book, published in 1996, still has plenty of good information for the person who wants to build a family web site. Most of the technical information is probably old-hat to most people who navigate the web today, but the ideas for a family site are what make the book so valuable. It gives the reader some good ideas about content, such as a family newsletter, guest book, recipes, family tree, and a whole lot more. Getting the visitor's attention - and keeping it - will be key, so it's important to think about how to keep the site lively and interesting. A worthwhile start!
