Rugged Inspy Hero!, May 5, 2007
This review is from: Home Sweet Texas (Love Inspired #398) (Mass Market Paperback)
Texas Ranger-turned-rancher Jake Trayner is my favorite kind of hero. He's wise, wounded and wonderful. Add a heroine with an unknown past, some mystery and the residents of Coyote Springs and you have a great read. Highly recommended!

Story of renewed faith and love..., June 7, 2007
This review is from: Home Sweet Texas (Love Inspired #398) (Mass Market Paperback)
When Jake Trayner finds a lost and wounded woman wandering about on his land, he is immediately both skeptical and fascinated. The woman claims to have no memory of how she became injured or how she ended up on his land, and he believes her, despite the fact that it goes against the training he received as a Texas Ranger.
When she awakens out in the middle of nowhere, she doesn't know her own name. She doesn't know how she became injured or how she ended up lost in an unfamiliar land. When rescue presents itself in the form of a man and his dog, she knows it is the answer to a prayer.
Deciding to call herself Sunni, since she can't remember who she really is, she finds herself surprisingly reassured by the presence of her rescuer. When he offers an invitation to stay at his house with his aunt as a chaperone, she accepts thankfully.
On her journey to rediscover herself, Sunni learns much more than her name, she discovers that love can find a way to mend even the most broken of hearts.
HOME SWEET TEXAS is a lovely inspirational romance. The story of a lost and broken woman rescued by a handsome stranger is always a popular one - but when a well-developed thread of faith and encouragement is woven into the storyline it becomes even more enjoyable. Author Sharon Gillenwater has done a wonderful job of weaving together the elements of faith and renewed hope with a fledgling romance that soon develops into something stronger. Readers of contemporary inspirational romance will enjoy HOME SWEET TEXAS.

Inspiring and enjoyable reading, May 31, 2008
This review is from: Home Sweet Texas (Love Inspired #398) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a very sweet, highly romantic story about wounded souls who find healing when they trust in God's Will. Because of her memory loss, Sunni is a very pure and natural being, open and courageous - an absolutely delightful character. And Jake is a hero any reader could fall in love with! It's so refreshing when the protagonists of a story relate to each other in a loving and respectful manner. A feel-good read to brighten one's day and lighten one's heart! !
