More About the Author

Amongst my qualities, which include reciting prime numbers backwards from 90956, reading to blind children & training seals, embellishment may be at the top.

4.0 out of 5 stars Somewhat Disappointed March 22, 2012
Format:Paperback
As the book was advertised as "unpublished emails" and yadda yadda, I was assuming that the entire book would be filled with content that I had never read before. Unfortunately, on receiving the book, I quickly found that almost all the content was available on the website, like the first book. This was somewhat disappointing.

If you have never read the website, I do recommend this book. It's hilarious, but not as funny the second time around. Still funny, but not as much. I'm not sure if it's worth $20, if I had to do it again, I might pay $12. As a poor college student, money matters.

I'm rating this based on the content (as if I had never read it before).

TLDR; If you read the website, don't buy the book unless you want to read it again (or support David Thorne. Actually, just donate money to him directly because he'll get more than he'll get from this book). Or maybe you can give it to a friend as a gift after reading it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Duped again July 18, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Almost all of this book of so-called unpublished emails is currently PUBLISHED on his web site. I can't believe I fell for it again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting read, but not worth the cost. March 22, 2012
By JMOak
Format:Paperback
The book is small, around 180 pages. I was expecting the book to last longer than a single day, but since 2/3 of the book is either stuff posted on the website or graphic "comics" with cats featuring 6 word bubbles per page, it didn't work out that way.

If you keep up with his website, don't bother buying the book.

I don't think this book is worth twenty dollars, if it was cheaper I probably still wouldn't buy it given the opportunity to do so again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fairly good read
Could do to be a little longer, but I cannot really blame him. Really needed less work e-mails, in my opinion; just weren't as funny as the normal stuff.

I've read nearly every single page on David Thorne's website. Then I read them again. Ordered both this and his first book and was in tears. Read more

There are times we all wish that we could tell people what we really think and feel. This book does that and more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very funny
A lot of the material is on Davids Website, but there is plenty of unpublished material here too, I am happy to buy the book to help support what goes up on the website anyhow. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't read on a plane
Laughing to the point of snorting doesn't make you popular on a flight, so avoid this book in confined spaces. Other than that, you will laugh yourself silly.

Just hysterical! I'm glad I'm not his workmate or neighbor, though, as that seems to be where David gets most of his fodder. Read more
