5.0 out of 5 stars Home Town is Worthly to have the Original Sound., June 18, 2002
By "arri_angel" (Sacramento, California) - See all my reviews
First time my friend and I saw Home Town Hero in Sacramento, we were totally amazed at how good they played and the diversity of their sound. They were so GOOD in fact that we followed their next show to Vaccaville and to San Francisco. I will have to say thank you to Andrew (the rodie) who got me in on a guest pass in SF. :)After the three days of groupie syndrome, my friend and I couldn't wait to get their CD when it came out. What do I have to say about it? I'll tell you, the CD takes me back to listening to them in concert three times over! They have a great mix of songs, some sweet, some angry, some edgy, and all with an awsome tune. Before Home Town I thought all rock bands sounded the same and I was begining to be jaded with some of the locals, these locals are outstanding! Listen to Home Town Hero, buy their CD it is worth it, this is no ordinary rock band.

P.S. The Drummer Ray Blanco blows fire out of his mouth while playing the drums, wild but cool during the shows.

5.0 out of 5 stars This CD totally rocks!!!, March 8, 2003
By Cherubs "ntm138" (San Diego, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This CD is so kick ...! All the songs are really good! I saw them in concert in LA and they were phenomenal! I instantly fell in love with them at the concert and I had to but their album right away. From that time on, I listen to their CD religiously. I have even given out some of their promotional CDs to my friends, which my friends totally dig them too now! This CD rocks, so everyone must get it! If you get a chance to see them in concert...do it!

5.0 out of 5 stars ROCK ON MY FRIENDS!, November 13, 2002
By A Customer
okay, let's talk. Home Town Hero ROCKS! I went to see Incubus in October of 2002 and Home Town Hero opened for them, let me just say....They were awesome, regardless of whatever anyone else says. I actually got to meet the lead singer and he's an awesome guy too. First of all you have to appreciate bands for the effort that they put into their music. Come on, at least they actually write their own stuff, unlike a lot of artists out there. So give these guys some credit. This album has the screams of The Used (Who are from Orem, where I live) but the special emo-punk vibe of other bands like Weezer, and Further Seems Forever. So if you buy an album, I would HIGHLY reccomend this one.
