4.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking shower curtain
I bought this to replace a similar map-of-the-world shower curtain that had gotten hopelessly grimy after 16 years of use. 3.0 out of 5 stars thin plastic
I've loved this shower curtain and bought new ones yearly. I love to plot my next vacation from the world map and my kids know their geography from it, but this one is made of a very thin plastic. I expect that it will not last long, or perhaps I'll be wrong and the lesser weight will help it not break as quickly. To be determined!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking shower curtain, July 20, 2009

I bought this to replace a similar map-of-the-world shower curtain that had gotten hopelessly grimy after 16 years of use. We've learned a lot about geography from that curtain (it's particularly useful for sneaking away during a game of Trivial Pursuit and returning a genius). This new curtain is nice looking, with bright colors and handwritten titles (instead of typed like our older one). It's not as heavy duty as the old one but still hangs well and was easy to put up. Buyers of similar curtains have mentioned a nasty smell--this one had a slight vinyl smell (reminds me of swimming pool toys) but it aired out completely in a couple of hours. (By contrast the heavier clear vinyl shower curtain liner that I bought separately at Walmart smelled for two days.)

My kids, 7 and 10, love their new bathroom. Its different and fun. Its hilarious listening to them sound out all of the new places they found will doing their business. it goes with any color scheme. it is a very light plastic almost like a plastic drop cloth but we are switching it out every month with the SAT words and periodic table curtains to minimize damage. well worth the price!

4.0 out of 5 stars Now I know where Trinidad is!, March 9, 2010
This review is from: Home World Map Shower Curtain (Kitchen)
Great item, if I only had this in elementary school. I would have known Trinidad is to the left of my hot water handle in the North Atlantic Ocean right below Barbados and Greneda.

5.0 out of 5 stars Learn Geography While You Shower, January 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Home World Map Shower Curtain (Kitchen)
My wife had wanted a shower curtain with a World Map to learn world geography while showering. I put the shower curtain in reversed and hanging inside the tub, so the graphic faces inward. I must admit I am addressing some of my weaker geographic knowledge, such as the western African coast. Not having any issues with water on the bathroom floor.

If you plan on using the curtain in a more conventional manner, you should know that it does not come with a lining and the curtain does not have any suction cups of magnets to keep the curtain in place. If you want the shower facing outward and hanging outside the shower/tub, you may want to buy a liner.

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall, Great Purchase!, September 7, 2011

Cute shower curtain. Has a clear background (I was expecting something more opaque, but that's okay). The font is a little young-looking, but that's just me being picky. Overall, great purchase!

The product was new and in great condition and came within the expected time. In addition, I'm realizing more and more how bad my geography knowledge was--but now I know most of the countries in Africa, Europe, and South America, and all 50 states and their locations all within one month of showering!

There are several color errors in the map and it's missing a continent--Antarctica. Also, the comic sans font is pretty bad.

Saw this in a friend's bathroom, and loved it! Got one for my birthday, and the only downside is that now my showers take even longer because I stop to look at the map! Great for the geographically impaired like myself.

I put this on my shower with the map facing IN so I could study the map each time I take a shower. (I put another curtain facing out).I wish there were one for each city I had business in so I could learn my way around b4 going there.
