The Girls just get better, December 26, 2007
This review is from: Home to You (Audio CD)
Home To You is full of gorgeous gospel-blues-swamp tinges, sassy and swaggering, heartfelt, but not in a sappy way; an album that will sweep you up and carry you away. This is probably their most accessible album yet, and a perfect introduction to the Girl's for the uninitiated.
As a huge fan of the Po' Girl's previous release, Vagabond Lullabies, it took me a moment to adjust to this new album. What hit me immediately however, was the superior production quality. The girls perfectly pitched harmonies still intertwine like heavenly angels, but here the sound is crisper, cleaner, with those remarkable voices out front, growling and whispered right in your ear. It's a beautiful sound to be sure, befitting a beautiful album.

Wanderlust flows from the grooves of these albums, June 5, 2007

Another fragment of road-dust infused heaven from the enormously creative band of vagabond angels that fell to earth in Vancouver.

Similar to the Be Good Tanyas recordings (as I expected), but not quite as good.
