5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Katherine Stone Love Story!
I loved HOME AT LAST. Even the title was perfect. In finding each other, in finding love, Lucas and Galen were finally Home.

I'm really looking forward to A Midnight Clear.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the usual Katherine Stone
I too was disappointed and I kept checking everywhere in the book to see if this was possibly a reprint from early in her career. I love her books, but this one was confusing. Was Galen as beautiful as Lucas thought, from the description she was a total mess! What was all of this flowing hair, and turguoise coat descriptions. Sorry Katherine.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is a truly boring, completely unbelievable story!, July 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Home at Last (Mass Market Paperback)
This was my first Katherine Stone book and probably my last. Portraits of characters were pathetically overly dramatic. I was unable to follow any conversations since they were interrupted by long flashbacks of past events and mystic overtones that just didn't make sense. I must admit that I skimmed over the last half, trying to find something redeeming about the book rather than just put it down. I should have given up after the first twenty pages of awful writing style and, of course, saved my money in the first place!

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful, romantic, involving book., June 5, 1999
By A Customer

There were so many interesting touches in the book that made both Galen and Lucas feel very real to me, multilayered and intriguing. I liked both of them, and was rooting for both of them, very much. I'm a Katherine Stone fan, and this book didn't disappoint me at all. In fact, I'd rank it as one of her very best. Which is saying a lot!

1.0 out of 5 stars Same as always. Nothing new and exciting, May 15, 1999

I must say I like Katherine Stone and read her books. But I am also disappointed. They are always the same. She needs to do something different. Not put the characters "feelings" in a different type. In fact leave them out all together. Just get on with the story and let the reader draw their own "feelings".

5.0 out of 5 stars Home at Last, July 29, 2004

Read in one setting. This book has been the best I have read of Stone's work. The characters grab you and hold you throughout the entire story. I did not want to story end.

This was a beautiful love story!! I couldn't put this book down. It was a very enjoyable "light" read!! The "Lady Killer" mystery was very captivating, too!! I cannot wait to A Midnight Clear next!

3.0 out of 5 stars Very entertaining., August 28, 1999

This review is from: Home at Last (Mass Market Paperback)
Katherine does an excellent job of building you up to the climax of the story but the romantic ending was a bit over done. She could have dedicated more time on the bad guy, letting you get to know him a little better instead of the paragraph explaining why he turned out the way he did at the end of the story. The characters were believalbe and their romance was believable but the ending was just a little too sweet. She is still my favorite contemporary writer. I hope that I enjoy A Midnight Clear as much as I did Twins.

Romantic, suspenseful, and interesting. The author adds tiny details about her characters that makes them so real. Can't wait for the sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book -- romantic AND suspenseful, August 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Home at Last (Mass Market Paperback)
I couldn't put this book down. I got completely involved in both the love story and the mystery story. I really cared about the characters, and loved the way they cared about each other -- in a way that was so much more than sex.

Galen and Lucas felt real to me. Human. People I'd like to know.
