Guilty Pleasure,

I first heard this song and thought, "Damn, what a catchy song!" It made me think of my girlfriend and how sweet our love can be, so I told her about it. She then proceeded to laugh at me that I liked it. Oh well. Great song, great girlfriend, but the 2 just don't mix. No problem with that!

I originally heard this song played on Letterman and I found myself humming it for the next week. Eventually I knew I realized I would just have to purchase it. Needless to say, I've not been disappointed. It's got a seriously Johnny Cash/June Carter feel with the enthusiasm of Rockabilly-meets-Phish. It's just plain fun!

i put this album in my car and since i only really know that one song from them (home) i figured i would just listen to it when they weren't playing music on the radio..and i find that im am listening to it all the time..the music almost seems folk-ie to me which i like..because its different . i really enjoy how they use a variety of instruments throughout the album its refreshing and different from most things i hear on the radio.

Pure Corn Pone Goodness,

This is a fantastic song, and I'm glad that the commercials have helped it and the fine band that wrote it (Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes have a number of good songs in my opinion) to gain more notice.I love the lyrics. They're unabashedly corn-pone ("Alabama, Arkansas/I do love my Ma and Pa") and sentimental ("But not the way/that I do love you"), and it's pretty impossible not to love that simple sincerity of the song. And it's impossible not to love the happy, familial spirit of the band. I also haven't heard very many songs in recent years with such a catchy and repeatable (and just hummable) tune. I only don't give this download four stars because the album version does contain a "speaking intrusion" with Alex telling Jade a little story about falling in love with her. It's sweet, the sort of thing you might be surprised and thrilled to hear in a live performance of the song. Those sorts of intrusions always annoy me a little, for some reason ("If It's the Beaches" by the Avett Brothers has a bad one); I guess it's they just disrupt music, and that's what I'm listening for. Anyway, I do prefer the live versions that I've heard elsewhere and online that lack this intrusion (i.e. their Letterman performance and their Tiny Desk Concert performance for NPR), and I look forward to one of them becoming available for purchase.

What you want a music critic review? That's as pointless as a food critic painting a picture of lobster bisque.

I was changing TV channel and there was a NFL ad going on playing this song. I found out which one it was and bought it. :) Great melody. I did not paid attention to the lyrics yet. :P

This song sounds like something from the 60's out of Nashville. And I absolutely love it! I'm only 32, and this came on the air locally on an alternative/rock/indie station. (Anya Marina (song "Satellite Heart" from Twighlight movie) was a DJ at it). Anyways, This song is just plain awesomeness. ;-)
