From the Manufacturer

The Home right C800804 High speed paint roller motor applies 1-Gallon of paint in as little as 9-1/2 minutes. The paint went on smooth, room looks beautiful and it only took about 3 hours.

The cleaning can be significantly sped up by hooking up a garden hose through a port made just for this, and turning on the water to clear the machine.
J. Soo
The problem lies in the design of the end caps of the roller, and the shoddy materials.

Got this as a gift from a really good friend and I just had to say, that this roller surpassed all my expectations of a electric paint roller.
Was very easy to setup and I was able to smoothly paint a bedroom in about 15mins
With out dripping on the floor and I didn't even use the included drip guard. The messiest and the longest part of the job was the cleaning of the unit after, and still that was a lot less messy than cleaning manual rollers and paint pans.

Ok I have had this for some time now and just wanted to give an update.
The roller lock is made of cheap plastic and can be easily broken if you are not observant of if it is in the lock or open position. The rapid clean cap is also made of plastic and I cracked mine because I tightened it a bit too much.

Used craze glue to fix the cap
And had to buy the Home Right C800755 EZ Twist Paint Stick just to get the roller lock from it, as i could not find the lock alone for the electric unit to buy

Note: you must put petroleum jelly (like "Vaseline petroleum jelly") on the roller end cap seals and the plastic on the shaft the seals come into contact with before you install and when you are putting the unit into storage, So the seals don't dry out and cause leaking of paint. DO NOT USE OIL

i still think this is a must have.

I need to rent my apartment out. Hence I have to repaint my home. Initially, I wanted to hire someone to paint it for me. Eventually, I found out that it would cost me around $2,000 to get the job done. So I decided to do it myself.

I know tools are critical to the job. I have done wall painting before. So I know how painful is to dip and roll. I found this tool on Amazon with reasonable price. I'm thinking even I use it for once and through it way, it would be worth the cost.

After buying the product, I didn't use it immediately. When I have to use it, I red the instructions briefly. It was very easy to setup. I used 5 gallon bucket which is working fine with this machine.

The first day, it was very smooth. It became fun to paint because it is effortless. I can focus on where I need to paint and how to paint. After sunset, I have to seal everything for next day use. I was worried about if the paint will jam in the pipe and I will not be able to use it at all for next day. I was lazy, so I didn't clean up the machine. I just cleaned the roller and sealed the pipe with food wrapper.

The second day, surprisingly everything works as first day. No jam in the pipe at all. I completed the paint quickly. Just to let you know, this roller is not for corner and edge painting. You still need to paint them by brushes. Actually, painting the edges and corners cost more time than paint the whole wall.

Cleaning is also very simple. Click of a button, it cleans itself for you.

I could think of it can be easier. I would recommend this product for everyone who does DIY.

I love the idea behind the power roller, but this has a really bad design. The first one that Amazon sent to me leaked paint from three different areas during it's first use. It looked like a can of paint exploded on me and the floor. Pretty much everywhere but the walls. Amazon sent me a speedy replacement (Yay Amazon!) but on the replacement's 2nd use, I am having the same problem. I came on here to return it, just to find out that my return expiration date was 8 days ago.... If only I had tried to paint last week, then I would be able to return it. That's a raw deal, to spend at the time $99 and use it essentially two times.

Painting has always been a nightmare for me, because no matter how hard I try I end up making a mess. The constant movement between the paint tray and the wall will eventually lead to paint dripping on the floor. And, you'd be surprised at how much time you "waste" moving your roller back and forth. This machine cuts out this inefficiency, leading to very quick, even and mess free painting. You can literally paint an entire room in minutes, and that was with the machine on it's lowest speed setting. The handle is ergonomically shaped and it has a button to turn the pump on/off if for any reason you need to stop the flow of paint. I can now say that I don't mind painting any more. Clean up is never fun, but this unit makes it very easy. You can just run water through it until it comes out clear. The cleaning can be significantly sped up by hooking up a garden hose through a port made just for this, and turning on the water to clear the machine. Note: you do still have to clean the roller cover manually. However Rejuv-A-Roller Cleaner - Rjrl-R01 Rejuv-A-Roller combined with SHUR-LINE 5200 Professional Paint Brush & Roller Cleaner helps out significantly.

The unit works great. The only problem is the end cap wont stay tight enough to keep the roller on. There is a easy fix 1.You can order end caps from the factory for $1.50 each. 2.Call the factory they will replace them under warranty. 3.Use duct tape over the end it helps hold the release lever in place.

I have attempted to use two of these. After having the first one replaced by amazon for the end caps not staying on and together, the second did the exact same thing. The problem lies in the design of the end caps of the roller, and the shoddy materials. They are impossible to keep from breaking and fail at keeping the roller on the frame. The thing works fantastic for the short time before it breaks but almost 100 dollars is way too much for a one time use or half time use product. Look elsewhere because this is a great idea with horrible, horrible execution.
