Steer clear!,

To add my two cents in with some of other reviewers of this toothbrush...This sonic toothbrush is a piece of .... After a month of use, the brush turns on the minute you take it off of the charger..it finally shuts itself off after about a minute and a half..then you can't turn it on again. Get a life, get a new sonic toothbrush that works!

I got this for Xmas from my sis since she's studying to be a dental hygenist, but the problem is this toothbrush has not been working right at all. For one, the first one I got from my sis was fully charged but after using it once would not work unless I squeezed the handle really hard. Then I had it exchanged for a different one but over a month of using it the toothbrush itself would automatically turn itself on when I take it out of the charger. I could not turn it off either since the buttons are so hard to press and you'd practically need tough fingers to work this thing after some time. I'd recommend a toothbrush that's a little more expensive with more reliability than this one.

Don't waste your money! Buy a Sonicare,

This toothbrush stinks! Recently my sonicare toothbrush broke so I decided to try this one because I didn't want to spend a lot of money and after comparing the number of brushstrokes to a sonicare (28,000Homedics, 31,000Sonicare) I thought how bad could this one be; well what a waste of money, it is cheaply made, the on button requires two hands to start it, and I get more power with a manual brush. What a piece o...! Thats what I get for being cheap (you only get what you pay for).

This is the first "sonic" toothbrush my wife and I have used so we have no basis for comparison vs. other brands. We've been using it for several months and have no complaints whatsoever. We both really like the super clean feeling our teeth are left with after using it. And I really believe my teeth are whiter as a result. The price is great plus, the replacement heads are very well priced as compared to other brands, an important consideration when considering total cost of ownership! We do not use it everyday as we heard from a friend of ours (a Sonicare user) that it caused him gum sensitivity with prolonged use. Hope this helps.

SoniCrap,

I ordered two of these toothbrushes. One was defective right out of the box. I sent it back and got a replacement that worked for about a week. After recharging the unit, it wouldn't turn "on" anymore. Besides quality issues, the buttons on the toothbrush are poorly designed. They are extremely difficult to press.

Soni Dent Toothbrush,

Alright, so i figured i'd save some cash and buy a sonident instead of the sonicare. I don't really understand the claims by some users about recharging because I've had mine for over a year and it's worked every single time. The buttons are not the greatest design, but they work perfectly. The only difference i noticed is that the sonident doesn't move as much as the sonicare. if you can look at both at the same time, i notice that the sonident move about 1 or 2 mm back and fourth, but the sonicare moves about 4mm back and fourth. I haven't used a sonicare yet, but I'm going to buy one soon and will definitely know the difference. All i know is that the sonident works perfectly and is about 70% cheaper in terms of the toothbrush and replacement heads.

I've had mine for 6 months with no problems. Works great, makes your teeth feel nice and polished...(A lot of stuff about how some brands of toothpaste weaken the plastic Sonident uses, go figure, toothpaste on a toothbrush)The only compliant I have had is that the buttons are to hard to push and it should start on 'high' or have a one push 'high' button (You have to push the 'on/off' button once and then the 'speed' button 2 times to get to the high setting)

Bought this as i have several periodontitis and the Sonicare brush is totally overpriced. After using this brush for 3 months my dental hygenist remarked on how much better my teeth and gum looked! You get the charger and 2 brushes for what you pay for replacements heads for the Braun or Sonicare alone. Only gripe is that after one years the charging unit failed causing my to by a whole new set, but this is still a great product for the price.ADDED AFTER INITIAL REVIEW:

When I first got this brush I thought it was great. I could really tell the difference after using this, compared to regular brushes. But, after about 3 months of regular use it completely died on me. Doesn't charge at all now. Very Disapointed.

I have this toothbrush and I LOVE it..I've used others in the past but this one is my favorite..its easy to use so it would be easy for someone that has trouble brushing their teeth..the handle feels really comfortable to hold..its very easy to move around your mouth so every tooth is reached..also the 3 speeds are a plus..it does alot for a small price and your mouth feels sooooo clean..I could go on and on about how wonderful this toothbrush is but get one for youself and you'll be glad you did.. :-)
