I bought 1 for myself and 1 for my mom. Unfortunately we did not try them until 40 days after purchase. Neither one will charge up -- both were dead on arrival. From the packaging it looks like both had been previously returned. I will try to go directly to Homedics but this is really such a waste of my time and money.

It won't hold a charge, and the switch is faulty. Waste of money and time. Sorry I bought it.

I purchased this product and like the other reviewers had trouble making it charge. The attachments fall off, and the plastic breaks easily. Don't buy this unless it's a gift for someone you hate.

Right of the bat it does not hold a charge. You can use for 10 minutes or so and it would die. The attachment keeps coming off. It got to the point where I just superglue the dang thing, which prevents me from changing the attachments. Now after a few months it no longer charges. Definitely made from some cheap factory from china. Worthless!

For us, after reading various reviews, we were ready to return this and call it a day. Turns out ours simply wasn't charged enough...16 hours as per instructions. (Really should've read those first!) Regardless, ours works exactly as stated thanks to hubby reading a paragraph. :)

This is the 3rd one I've owned as I wore out the others. Works great and my nails have never looked better. Great for pedicures too; no need to spend money at the salon.

Got a good bargan on e-bay, I thought. Charged for 16 hours , used for approx 30 minute, will not charge up anymore. Not worth sending back.

On a value basis...is the cheapest product out there. From a functional basis.....it's the best out there. I've had several similar products in the past, but nothing comparbale. I especially like the portability (pre-charged; no electrial cord to deal with) and its horsepower. The little drill bit is awesome, but you have to be careful as it is sharp!

I bought this about a year ago. It worked wonderful for about 6 months. The battery started dying faster and faster. About 2 weeks ago it died. If you're looking for a long term product this is not the one for you. It works great for the first 2 times but after that the files get dull and are impossible to clean without toxic file cleaners from the beauty store.
