I bought this model when my Homedics SBM-300H stopped working correctly and I couldn't initially find another one. I think that this model has a much weaker massage action than the SBM-300H, and has the annoying (to me) characteristic of stopping and pausing momentarily every time it changes direction. Also, the controls are inconveniently located, in my opinion, on the lower back of the cushion, i.e. not a hand-holdable control. If you want a mild to moderate massage action, this is probably an adequate model. If you want/need deeper, more aggressive massage action, I suggest the SBM-300H which is again (possibly temporarily) available on Homedics web site. Since there are no differences in the way the two models are described, I tend to think that this is an example of another product that has been "cheapened up" compared with the prior model SBM-300H.

The title is self-explanatory. :) The only con was the Shiatsu balls can get too close together, which can "pinch" your back. Can get uncomfortable at times. Would have been nice to have a width adjustable feature on this.

The motor is underpowered. I'm on my third one. The motor burns out under normal use. Homedics should offer a heavy duty model with a more powerful motor and construction. But so far, they are honoring the warranties. For me, they last an average of 5-8 months.

I used it properly 4 times and the motor went out. Would not recommend to anyone. Homemedics needs to get better motors!

I bought this for my husband who is always complaining that his back hurts. He loves it and uses it almost every night. It has an automatic shut-off after fifteen minutes so there is no danger of over use.

I tested most of the Homedics massager models, and this one was by far the best. Provides upper and/or lower back massage, without without heat. Noise level is fairly low, for this kind of device. Highly recommended (but buy THIS MODEL---some of the other models aren't as good).

I got this ordered and was very dejected when the product did not work the way it is mentioned on the manual.

It does not allow me to select any option for massage and when I power on the massager it works only for 20 seconds and then it becomes dead. Nothing works after that. Again on switching off the main power and switching it on again brings it to life but only for 20 seconds and nothing after that.

I wrote back to homedics support but did not receive any feedback from them.

I purchased this chair for my husband. I don't regret it at all. I manage to use it myself...when he gives me a chance! He suffers a lot from lower back pain. This chair relaxes him and the heat is great! Even my kids use it sometimes. We all love it!

This was a Christmas present for my husband. So far so good! We wish it came with an adapter for the car, but we were able to purchase one seperately. Nice for him on a long commute.

As a bodybuilding hobbyist, my back has more knots than french braids. I added this to my office chair at work and it does a great job. The heat is also nice when the office gets a little cold!

I've had people within the 5'5 - 6'5 range use it and they've all "fit" well enough.
