I have a few massagers at home, some supposedly powerful ones recommended by different friends/relatives. I suffer with a chronic excruciating pain on my upper left shoulder between backbone and shoulderblade which affects the use of my left hand somewhat. After trying my many massagers and not getting any relief, I decided (after reading the reviews on this massager) to get this one especially with Amazon having the best price on it. OMG what a shock when I took this monster out of the box. It was beautifully heavy, I told myself I don't need to bother my entire family anymore to massage my shoulder. I thought to myself if this baby performs as good as it feels, I would be in business. Well, long story short, it did and also exceeded my expectations, I did not even know they made massagers this powerful. Its like being in a huge massage machine vibrating on my back - hmmm massage heaven indeed. I felt this thing under my muscles actually touching that spot deep inside my shoulder blade. You know, just buy the thing and get it over with, you will never regret this purchase.

As a slim woman, I find this heavy, awkward and hard on the bones. That being said, it also immediately eliminated a tight shoulder that has been nagging me for a few days, requiring periodic doses of NSAIDs. Unless someone has a better, comparably priced, massager out there, I'd rather struggle with this periodically than take drugs or pay for massages.

While it won't help with the heavy and awkward, perhaps the solution for someone thin is to use it while wearing a thick fleece or light insulated jacket - in essence, giving your poor ole bones some padding.

I can't imagine who could use this on high on their back unless they were VERY well padded!

I just received the product and have been using it over the passed week. I can't comment on the durability but I am quite please with the power. I always like strong massage so I hope it to be even more powerful and comes with a 12 ft cord. For the cord length that comes with it, you can not use on a large bed, you would need to use it on a sofa that is close to a wall outlet. Quite happy with the product.

I work in a chiropractic office and was having my husband come in for massage to get rid of the knots in the muscles in his legs. Since the purchase of this massager, the knots are gone and it only took about 5 days. Now I massage the backs of his legs and his back every 2 or 3 days, and the improvement is awesome. He has quit taking ibuprofen and just feels alot better. It is a little more difficult if you are a small person to use it on your own back as it is a little bit heavy, but for use on another person, it works very well, with great results.

This massager is almost exactly like one we received as a gift several Christmases ago. We used that one every day and wore it out! We were delighted to get a replacement. This is a brand name you can trust. My husband and I give each other back massages every evening and wonder how we lived without them! It is easy to use and the result is relaxed serenity!

I have used this product since 1997. After 10 years, my first one bailed on me. TEN YEARS! I replaced it recently with this one, and it works and is just as wonderful as my original.

I bought this massager to replace an earlier model that quit electrically, unexpectedly. My previous unit had adjustable (width) percussion knobs... this one does not have that feature at the same, or similar price. As a result, I have experienced several instances of painful pinching of skin. If you massage an arm or an ankle, the arm/leg can slide between the percussion knobs and your skin gets pinched between knobs and unit housing. I am somewhat disappointed with this unit.

It does what it is... it is a massager. some people have complained about the weight and here I am thinking the head could be heavier. why? well using this thing on your self can be difficult and the ability to add pressure to the massager while you are doing parts of your neck and shoulders without using two hands can be difficult. Do be careful when this thing hits bone. it just bounces off and makes this horrid noise. its not painful just unsettling if you are not used to it. Being slim I tend to impact my shoulder blades when I am using both hands and trying to apply more pressure.

This is very powerful, easy to hold and effective. I am so glad I bought it!! I have not used the heat things (not sure I ever will), but I would absolutely buy it again!

We really like it, although it is a harder massage than we are use to. We like that it has heat and if you adjust to high it's not as hard, plus my husband puts a towel over my back which helps. Two things I think I would change would be that it needs a longer cord and the knobs should be adjustable so that when your doing the neck area you would be able to move them closer together
