5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful and Enlightening, October 18, 2011
This review is from: Homeland: Four Portraits of Native Action (DVD)
I showed this video to my non-majors environmental science class. Out of everything I've taught them so far, this was the first topic where they understood the concepts immediately.
A wonderful portrayal yet sad realization of what our remaining indigenous peoples are going through. I highly recommend it to everyone!

5.0 out of 5 stars A big wake-up call for the Americas, August 3, 2011
By
This review is from: Homeland: Four Portraits of Native Action (DVD)
This incredible documentary presents us with a crucial challenge from those who consider it their sacred duty to protect the earth for all of us. Do we stand with them? Or once again turn a blind eye? Time is running out and we have to respond. Many people do not understand these tribes' cultures and relationships with nature and each other, the problems they face so that the rest of us can maintain our lifestyles. This should be required viewing in every high school in the US.
