I purchased the cherry wood colored set just last week. As an amazon prime member, the free shipping was great as shipping on other similar items w/o prime is $40-50. The package comes in one large box, with the items protected by styrofoam. Putting the table together was really easy with the tool that comes in the kit. Putting the two stools together was a little more complicated and required a screw driver and some arm work to drive the screws into the legs of the stool. Overall I got the whole thing set up in about 30-40 minutes.

The wood is a handsome deep cherry. The construction is solid and quite steady. The stools are sturdy as well and comfortable to sit on. The brown leather of the stool seats is quite soft and nicely textured.

Drawbacks to the table include that it isn't wide enough to fit two normally sized placemats across from each other. The short end of the table top is wide enough to fit a normal sized place mat but is uncomfortable for sitting at either end because of the bars which run vertically to support the table.

Overall this is a fantastic little table for a New York apartment. Definitely worth the $120 or so price tag.

We decided to buy this table to stage our kitchen because we were listing our home for sale. It is the perfect size, perfect color and the perfect price. The quality is what I expected for the price of the piece. I read other reviews about how the piece arrived damaged...well ours arrived damaged as well. The corner was dented and barely noticeable so we simply turned that side toward the kitchen wall. I didn't have the energy to exchange it.

Considering this is one of the cheapest tables you can find, I can't really complain. However, it wasn't long until one of the chair bottoms (holding the cushion up) cracked and the table became wobbly. My boyfriend and myself are fairly skinny people, and so I am a little disappointed in the overall longevity of the product considering I purchased this item less than a year ago.

I live in a small dorm apartment and was searching all over the internet for something small enough to fit my even smaller living area. I finally found this table with stools and could not believe the price! I was ecstatic when it arrived, the cherry coloring was beautiful and I immediately put it together. It was so easy to put it together and luckily I had an electric screwdriver to finish up the stools. As it was all finished I didn't realize the table top seemed damage on the edge which wasn't noticeable until I started inspecting it. It sucked but I loved the table so much I didn't want to return it and thought some wood putty would repair it. I told Amazon about the damage and they were awesome in helping me with the problem. Anyway I would definitely recommend this table! It is beautiful and the leather top stools are gorgeous and I couldn't believe how easy it was to put it together! It fits perfectly in one side of my living room and I enjoy finally having a table to actually eat at.
So my only suggestion would be to check the items before putting it together! :) Other than that its a great buy!

The box to the Homelegance set arrived opened on both ends via UPS and the box was damaged. It looked as though the set had been previously returned and shipped back out to us. Based on the other negative reviews I was expecting something to be wrong but hoped for no issues based on the fact I ordered the table for a home showing to have in the kitchen on quick notice. The table top was damaged as were the legs to the table. I sent in for a replcement so it should be another 2 weeks before getting the new set which hopefully arrives in tact. I would seriously hesistate to order piece furniture online again and having heard other people's experiences I would not order Homelegance. The quality is sub par... this is not a set I would use for everyday use or in my kitchen but for a home showing it is suitable if in tact.

First of all I received this about 5 days before I was scheduled to get it. That was great. I am a 64 year old (still working) woman and I assembled it myself. It was a little challenging but not impossible. I have a small eating area and this fit well and looks amazing. Very, very happy with purchase.

The box was completely smashed up when it was delivered to my home. This table did arrive quickly, and the first thing I did was inspect it. Sure enough, the corner was busted. Considering the price, I still love the table and not many people notice the broken corner. This has nothing to do with the person whom you are purchasing from.... UPS/Fed Ex is HORRIBLE when it comes to taking care of packages!! It's really too bad.

The table had two pieces that were previously connected, but one was broken off before it got to me, so now I am having to find some way to put it together with wood glue because I don't want to go through the trouble of shipping it back and having to pay a ridiculously high cost for the shipping.

In a nutshell..UPS delivered the first package to our leasing office literally mangled w/parts/pieces falling out of the box as they were carrying it in...the box was torn open at every corner n crushed as well. Needless to say we were missing all the hardware and the table top was split down the middle along w the base/leg. Now..time to repackage for returns/pickup(took us almost an hour as UPS didn't leave much packaging in any condition to be reused) We opt for the replacement rather then credit..which came in a timely manner and again not handled/shipped w/care. This time all parts n hardware survived the shipping but the table top didn't//every corner was bashed in n split. Please know if you aren't a fan of IKEA quality furniture..DO NOT purchase this set. It is similar in quality and their pre-drilled holes are equally inaccurate. Definately not worth waiting a month total for the replacement set that is damaged as well. We sold our lil pub set on Craig's list prior to this one's arrival...bad move. Oh and if ya happen to have any hefty friends or family..these stools are not for them ;) Best of luck to you if interested in this set..if it survives UPS you'll be lucky..and if it lasts 3months you'll be even luckier ;)

The table is great. It's perfect for two people and our awkwardly set kitchen. However, it came with a crack in part of the wood that we had to fix before putting it together. The instructions were a bit hard to understand but we were able to get it after a while ... and the damn thing came with three extra screws. Literally.
