What a heartbreaking yet redemptive tale! I picked this book up after stumbling across it on Amazon because I love true stories about triumph and strength in the face of adversity. This biography read like a primer on such a life and the author Mr. Ross is a real survivor. The harrowing difficulties he was exposed to as a child will make you so angry at how some adults can disregard a child so easily. Here was a boy with such talent, creativity, and a desire for love that was constantly thrown away by all the people that should have given it to him. It was only when he ended up in the care of social workers and strangers that he finally was able to thrive.

I was so uplifted by the fact that this kid never gave up. He never descended into the madness of crime that would have made him just another statistic. Mr. Ross constantly fought with a natural resolve in order to be someone. He worked tirelessly day and night when the opportunity was presented to him, and his demand for a better life was finally met if only because of his amazing ability to just simply hold on. This young man is an inspiration to so many others that go through such horrific situations. He is a living testament to the power of transformation.

If anyone reading this wants a hero’s story of perseverance and redemption through unbelievable trials, then you will love reading the biography of Mr. Ross. I am so glad that I had the privilege of reading his story and hope that many others receive the same gift as well.

This young man is truly a blessing. I had the opportunity to meet him in person and I must say that he does not let his past determines the result of his future. He has beaten all odds and continues to strive for success daily. He is the true definition of inspiration. This book is a must read.

I most say, this is the one of most inspiring books I've ever read. Anthony Ross is an inspiration to all. This triumph of the spirit should be shared with the world without a question. This man had every excuse in the world to give up but he didn't! He is strong, intelligent and faithful!

Very inspiring story. His life journey proves that anything one wants is possible once you put your mind to it and work for it.

First off let me say I highly recommend this book! It was incredibly moving, harrowing, and inspirational. What amazed me was the drive that Anthony D. Ross had. To go through such a horrible time in his life at such a young age and come through it not only as a survivor but as a honor student at a acclaimed college! Reminded me a lot of the film "The pursuit of happyness" If you read one autobiography or any book this year make it this one, pull up a comfortable chair (you wont be getting up till your done with the book) grab your favorite beverage and get ready for a amazing true story, you wont be disappointed!

I highly recommend!

This is a great and very moving. Anthony.

Anthony writes honestly about the life he led when he was living on the streets after his grandmother passed away, about the battles he's had to fight, about the loneliness of life on the streets. I have nothing but admiration for him. It takes a special sort of bravery and determination to pull yourself back up when you are alone and down. When one dreary follows another, when it's hard to see any future.

Anthony is someone that people can look up to as he went from a 13 year old on the street to attending College and Graduating
