Dangerous toys,

This book has some very interesting information in it, but the designs presented are rinky-dink. If either of them fires without blowing out their breech closures, it is only a testiment to the low pressures involved. Also, the author mostly glazes over the fact that all good (high explosive) military rounds have spin-armed fuzes and would be useless in his unrifled tubes. It's hard to see how there could be any accuracy with any type of ammo. Finally, his method of attaching his "M203" to a rifle barrel is laughable for a weapon he claims capable of launching an 8 ounce grenade 300 meters or more. Maybe 3 stars is being generous, but I'm sure many of my fellow nuts will want to check out this book anyway.
