5.0 out of 5 stars HERB COOKING FOR DOGS
THIS BOOK IS VERY GOOD FOR THE TYPE OF RECIPES AND THE COOKING ABILITY. THE DOGS LOVE THE TREATS. SOMETIMES THE TREATS SHOULD BE PUT IN THE FRIG SO THE GOODS DO NOT MOLD. I LOVE TO FIX AND BAKE THE HERB COOKIE RECIPE. HUMANS LOVE IT AS MUCH AS THE FURKIDS. THANKS FOR BAKING.

2.0 out of 5 stars not as expected
This book is advertised as good for food allergic dogs. The top allergen for dogs is wheat. The main ingredient in most of the recipes is whole wheat flour. Unfortunately, not helpful to someone with a food allergic dog.

We occasionally like to make homemade treats for our dog. However, the recipes in this book were hard to make and the few we tried didn't turn out very well. Our dog did not eat the treats that we made, either, and he has loved treats that we have made from other sources. Luckily, this book was inexpensive since we won't be trying any more of these recipes.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, September 15, 2011
This review is from: Homemade Treats for Happy, Healthy Dogs (Storey Country Wisdom Bulletin) (Paperback)
Out of 6 recipes 2 were just okay. I spent so much on ingredients and time I decided to just give up. The good thing is the simplicity of the recipes but I felt certain there must have been typo's in the amounts for some of the ingredients. The dough was extremely oily or very dry and sticky. After cooking, some cookies had the consistency of rubber no matter how long they were "dried". Others burned in half the cooking time. My oven isn't THAT much off! Very disappointed.
