In a simple way it tells you all the caracteristics of your child and his needs. The book is divided in specific ailments, like fevers, bruises, ear infections (the real reason why I bought it), diaper rashes, etc. and gives you all the homeopathic medicine that would suit your child depending on his behaviour. Then there are all the medicines listed in alfabethical order where it explains what they are and they are for. An A++++ for Dana Ullmann . I'm looking forward to purchasing the book for the whole family ! Thanks !!! P.S.: By the way my Daughter has improved so much, she is almost a new child , no more whinning and crying. Ear infections FREE !!!!

As I reread this text, I find more information than I ever thought was there at first. This book is a great source of information for me when treating my younger clients. A great concise quick reference that needs to be in every homeopaths armamentarium! I recommend this book highly!

This is the best book I have been able to find for selecting remedies for children. It seems to cover most of the typical childhood illnesses and I have always been able to select an appropriate remedy from the descriptions it gives.

This text is an excellent book for the novice. It gives a good synopsis of common remedies for youngsters, and infants. The fact that it is arranged in a concise orderly fashion, makes it easy to use.

I have been using homeopathy since 1993 with great success, due in large part to this book. It is well organized and very user friendly. I would highly recommend this book to anyone just starting out, or curious about homeopathy. I loaned mine to a friend recently and I miss it more than I expected! I also own "The Complete Homeopathy Handbook: Safe and Effective Ways to Treat Fevers, Coughs, Colds and Sore Throats, Childhood Ailments, Food Poisoning, Flu, and a Wide Range of Everyday Complaints" and I think it is a nice complement, but I find that I use Dana Ullman's book with greater regularity. Actually, I've used it so often that I've memorized much of it and now I pull it off the shelf to "double check" myself.

Well written; easy to read and you can find remedies to match symptoms easily.

EXCELLENT book/guide for taking care-homeopathic care-of children. A homeopathic doctor wrote it in simple, easy reading. I have been using it, with my daughters permission, for my 2 yr old grandson and 4 month old granddaughter and they are the healthiest children.

They only go to the pediatrician for their wellness checkups...otherwise they are never there; whereas my son's partner won't use homeopathic remedies because she does want to "drug" her kids, and they are at their doctor at least once a week, sometimes more - mostly for colds and infections. In their short life (they're twins, 2 yrs) they have had more drugs than even some adults!

THIS BOOK IS A MUST for every family seeking a gentler medicine to give their kid's when they do get ill.

If you're interested in basic homeopathic remedies for acute conditions in children, this is a great reference. He includes a lot of information, both on how homeopathic remedies work, and about which remedies are indicated for which conditions. There are a lot of details to help make choosing the best remedy easier.

I previously gave this book a low review because I got ahead of myself and skipped the first several chapters. Big mistake! After reading the book from the beginning, I realized what I was missing. In the past two years that I have owned this book, it has been indispensable in treating both my toddler and myself. My son has had little recurrence of chronic illnesses, and we rarely have to treat him with modern prescription medicine. This book is an invaluable resource for any parent!

This book is easy and interesting to read, but not much help in times of crisis. My daughter was throwing up the other night, and even though I have a fairly impressive collection of herbs and homeopathics, I couldn't find the info in the book that I needed for a remedy for her. It's a valuable book in my library for my study on the subject but certainly not a "go-to" book when you need a quick reference. I wouldn't recommend this book as a starter book for a study of homeopathy.
