I received one of these as a birthday gift about two years ago, and the little thing is still going strong. The vocal unit is still loud (enough) and clear. It's the same as when it was new. The cutting blade is a little dull, but still slices through the pizza I get without a problem. I'm not sure how sharp "real" pizza cutters are supposed to be, but this works pretty decently. I'd get another one if I needed to.

It's great to have something amusing that actually works well too. As other reviewers note, the handle and pizza slicing metal parts dissemble for easy washing. One small issue with mine, I had to replace the batteries it came with after just a few months. It uses three 357, little watch/calculator batteries that are rather pricey for their size. I imagine it's just the typical cheap batteries that come with electronics verses actual name brand batteries. It might also come from water accidentally getting into the battery compartment that is kept closed with a single screw, but far from water proof.

We are getting a second one because the mechanism that makes Homer's voice got ruined when the handle got wet on our first one. The user must take care that the blade is removed from the handle for cleaning, which isn't difficult or unsafe to do, but this user was careless and the handle got wet. A clear case of user-(mom)-error ; ) It would have been given 5 stars if that didn't have to be of concern...

Our 12 y/o son is a huge pizza and Simpsons fan and really enjoyed this pizza cutter, and hearing Homer speak and sing each time the blade is rolled, so we are giving him another one for xmas. It's a great stocking stuffer for the Simpsons/pizza lover and worked quite well.
