4.0 out of 5 stars Good guideline, especially for beginners, August 20, 2008

I got this book by accident because I was looking for the Homeschoolers Book of Lists, but this is still a good find. The other book is filled with topical information and lists to be used in the actual classroom, like lists of terms or historical dates. This book in contrast is a guide for resources to be used by the teacher, like lists of websites on Charlotte Mason, or lists of curriculim publishers, teaching styles, etc. I learned a lot right away. Great information to have on hand. Will add nicely to my reference library. I didn't give it 5 stars because in some areas I felt it was a little too brief, but they do at least direct you to several resources to get more info.

3.0 out of 5 stars Quickly outdates, June 9, 2009
This review is from: The Homeschooling Book of Lists (J-B Ed: Book of Lists) (Paperback)
The lists are great but I have found about half of the websites I was looking for in Unit Studies were no longer available. It's just the nature of this kind of book that will happen but then there should be a way to get updates, like on the website or e-mailed or else print an updated version every year or so.
