More About the Author

Teri Maxwell has a passion for Jesus Christ, her family, and encouraging women. During her early years of child raising with many little ones in tow, she struggled with depression and anger. Through it all God greatly ministered to her and is now using Teri as a Titus2 mentor to women around the world. Teri radiates Jesus Christ as she not only helps women get their homes organized and but also shows them Scriptural direction for every day problems or when life seems out of control. Teri's honesty in sharing her personal struggles motivates her readers that they too can have victory. Teri Maxwell is known for being down-to-earth and giving practical help as she delves into the daily problems which every woman faces. Sometimes moms tell Teri they think she has been peeking into their windows she describes so well that with which they are dealing.

She is co-author of Managers of Their Homes, Managers of Their Chores, Managers of Their Schools, Keeping Our Children's Hearts and Just Around the Corner. Teri is also the author of Homeschooling with a Meek & Quiet Spirit and Sweet Journey. She has been writing monthly encouragement articles for Christian women since 1990.

A great resource.

The book helped me to see what I need to tackle in my own life to improve the disorganization, which often steals my meek & quiet spirit.

What I like most about the book is she covered about every emotion and experience we face not only as mother's but as women. Its not the BIG HARD hitting things in life but rather the mundane insanity that we often feel sometime. "Didn't I just say not to hit your brother?" Ha! I posted some of her statements above my sink to remind me of the visible attributes of a meek and quiet spirit. I also posted this, "If a mirror was attached to my children's head would my expression convey love, acceptance, interest, and patience?" Teri Maxwell. I also posted the Bible verse below that 2Corinthians 12:9-which I've been meditating on. Thanks again!

Oh! I also liked that it was a quick read.

At last this novel has been made into kindle format as I find it such an idol to have hard books.

Just reading it made me want to reach for a fizzy drink as I realised we were not the only Mum's who faced up to sheltering our children from the world.

This book is a five animal cracker out of five.

This book is such a blessing and now that it is in kindle format I donated my two hard copies, one to my church library(I buy all the Maxwell books for my church library, we have many lower income families and it is my small way of ministering to them to make these books available to them free of charge) and one to my local public library so that others can read Mrs. Maxwell's wit and wisdom for free. I have also told all my homeschool email lists that if they are Amazon Prime members they can borrow the book for free! What a blessing! I bought the ebook myself but, I am hoping that by giving my hard copies to the library and telling one about the free borrowing I can help other less fortunate homeschooling moms in their journey, certainly something the Maxwell's themselves would no doubt embrace. I love this book because it keeps me focused on raising Godly children and makes me realize that while I may not be college educated myself and not qualified to teach in a secular school, what good is it to have children who can read and write above a 4th grade level if they are going to hell?

This book has helped me in so many ways. I was feeling so lost and getting so frustrated and I did not know what to do. I ordered the book on kindle and started reading and immediately began to feel better. Here was another mom who had faced all the same struggles. The author Teri has a way of writing which made me feel like it was all going to be ok. Her words of encouragement and honesty really spoke to me. I can't speak highly enough of this book! It is such a blessing to me! It has helped my spirit, my relationship with my husband, my daughter and my in-laws. It has also helped my relationship with God. Honestly I have not even begun to homeschool yet. I was just dealing with the standard things all moms face. And I was not handling it gracefully. This book felt like a loving mother taking my hand and praying with me and helping me find solutions to the difficulties I was facing. What Teri helps you change is your perspective, and that is worth it's weight in gold. If you feel like you are at the end of your rope and you need help this is a wonderful book that will truly change your life!

I felt like this book was written to me, and I don't even homeschool. This book can be applied to patenting in general; it's really not focused in homeschooling. It's about Christ centered shepherding of your children with a gentle and meek heart, not one of anger, frustration, self pity, or discontentment. This book not only provided a wealth of encouragement and motivation, but a lot of practical tips and applications for dealing with the heart issues.

I like the application projects at the end of every chapter. Though I do not homeschool, I am a teacher and a mother that wants to learn to acquire a meek and quiet spirit. It is still relevant to my circumstances.

Excellent book for any mother. Great strategies for how to handle the everyday stresses of a family. Very encouraging that the mother of such a great family deals with the same issues that I do!

Praise the Lord for this new addition to the Kindle e-book range!

My godly husband is reluctant to be found in our local bookstore purchasing books by lady writers, lest anyone should see and judge him to be condoning the ways of a working woman, or seeking wisdom and learning from one ordained by the Lord as a weaker vessel. But, hallelujah, when my manly headship saw this title available to us FOR FREE via Amazon Prime, lo he was convinced that "in all things God works for the good of those who love him" and he downloaded a copy for me to read on my sickbed, as I prepare to bring my 13 children home from public school next week, in order to teach them God's own truths as they grow into biblical adulthood.

I have been bedridden with chronic pain, depression and caffeine dependency for 10 long years, but this book has taught me that with God's strength, and a dozen or so further resources from the titus2 bookshop, I can set aside my doubts and fears and give my children an education which will keep them sheltered and content to remain joyfully at home for decades to come!

Praise Jesus that this one book has inspired us to bring our children home to their rightful place, and has taught me to set aside my earthly cares and submit to my rightful role in the home. Not to mention that my husband is so excited that by following Teri's advice, I will also be freed up spiritually and emotionally, to serve his manly needs and restore his rightful place as king of our home! Bonus, right? What could go wrong?!
