i enjoyed this book about another way of life in a rural environment.the family was interesting and i was sympathetic towards them all.it was satisfyingly romantic and funny and touching.it left me with a good feeling about american families.

Be prepared to shed some tears. I cried so hard at times that I had to put the book down. It is such a beautiful and heart touching story. Nothing fancy. Plain and simple like the times they lived in. Clean and refreshing break from the gore and smut that consumes so much of the world today. I truly enjoyed reading it.
