4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful feel-good movies
Just a technical review: Two disc collection. The first movie is in FULL SCREEN (why why oh why???), has a theatrical trailer. The second movie is in widescreen and has no trailer. The first disc is clearly a first edition from WB as it has the design of their early discs, nice silkscreened with a pale coating that lets the title and info be readable, while the second is...

1.0 out of 5 stars Adult toilet humor pervades these movies
Compared with the old-fashioned dog movies that have always captivated children and adults alike, these two movies with animal voices must be seen as an entirely different film genre. Toilet humor is pointlessly and relentlessly inserted in the action--and these movies are aimed at children and supposedly about the loyalty and perseverance of dogs.

Just a technical review: Two disc collection. The first movie is in FULL SCREEN (why why oh why???), has a theatrical trailer. The second movie is in widescreen and has no trailer. The first disc is clearly a first edition from WB as it has the design of their early discs, nice silkscreened with a pale coating that lets the title and info be readable, while the second is a "picture" disc with all artwork pasted on the disc. Seems like a rushed thing to make this double-pack which could have been done better in my opinion.
Still, good value.

My 3 year old boy is enamored with Milo & Otis so I thought I'd try this one out. First of all its a great deal to get this for $15. Secondly, my boy absolutely loves the movies and he even talks to me about Chance, Sassy and Shadow.

The first one is heartwarming and exposes my child to the wilderness and things associated with it. He now knows that there are big animals in the woods and they can hurt him. He also tells me that rivers are big and dangerous, etc. The second one is funny in that it's really obvious that it's not the same animals, especially Chance. But it's got the same kind of lightheartedness.

And now, thanks to Sassy my 3 year old now knows how to say, "Ya flat faced butt sniffer." Thanks for that, cat.

I grew up watching Homeward Bound 1 & 2. I was around five years old, when I got The Incredible Journey on VHS. I fell in love with it within the first few minutes of watching it. To this day, at 24 years old, I still enjoy watching The Incredible Journey and Lost In San Francisco. I still cry every time Sassy goes down the water fall and when Shadow falls into the hole. I still get wrapped up in Peter running towards Shadow at the end. In, LISF, I still dread when they go to look under the semi. haha. It's very rare to go back to a movie you watched as a child and still find great enjoyment in it in your adult years. I will be buying this set for my daughters first birthday in December. I have a feeling she'll enjoy it as much as I have. Plus, I'll have her as a good excuse to watch the movies. ;)

My boys LOVE these two movies! And having watched them at least 20 times each, now I can say that I have thoroughly reviwed the films and am in a place to say without reservation that this will please all children from about 3 onward. There is plenty of fun dialogue for older kids to enjoy, and there is a lot of comedic action at every turn. The plots are similar for each movie, but not at all boring the second time as all the action is in San Francisco. The voice actors are top notch and the humans are great too, although I cannot stop thinking of Airplane (you'll see). Oh, my wife and I love these as well!

Have the 1st movie on VHS to play each year in my classroom (now buying DVD). It is the perfect movie for 7-11 yr olds. It is difficult to find a movie that I can show in the classroom these days, but this one is perfect! I don't care for the 2nd one as much but they are both good movies.

I love these movies, they are so funny and entertaining, I had bought them before in the past from Amazon, but had given them away at one point. I found that I missed having them in my movie colllection and decided to purchase them again. Im glad I did. I like the fact that they came in a boxed set and could be purchased together.
