This review is from: Homicide Game (Paperback)
Who is killing prostitutes in Horton county,Tenn. Major crimes Detective Sgt. Doyle Griffen has to find out.But the deeper he goes the worse it gets, what starts as a simple homocide leads to a serial killer who has been working the east Tenn and Geo. area for years. And when one of the suspects puts Doyle in the hospital and then goes after the woman he loves,Doyle better catch a killer, or be caught himself. Former Knox county deputy David Hunter has worked mostly in non-fiction before. This is his second fictional work.If this is going to be typical of his work then the world has a new master of detective fiction.David Hunter cops are neither drunken bullies of Wambaugh nor saints of JAck Webb. And in Doyle Griffen a refreshing real and honest character is created. An honest hard working Detective who is true to his calling, flawed by not overshadowed by them.
