I Liked it but where was Kellerman?
This book was a good mystery one of the better that I have read. I enjoy learning all the cop phrases and the humor was funny yet witty. Homicide is a neat show and it motivated me to read this book.

No suspense. Only for true tv Homicide fans.
I did not think that this was a good book, because it left nothing up to the reader. It did, however, try to capture the characters of the tv show. This book is better than the next ones in the series- which I couldn't even finish reading.

These novels are good if you enjoy Homicide or want another different thing to tide you over between Friday nights. It could have been better, and perhaps longer, like the others, but all in all a good night's read. Hard to find sometimes!

Decent beginning for new series.,

This novel, based on the amazing NBC police drama, is the first in what I hope to be a long series of books. Despite the fact that the author has a pretty good grasp on the show's characters, he spends too much time delving into the minds of the criminals. What makes the SHOW such a treat is the detectives of the homicide unit, not the perps. Oh, and there's not one single scene in "The Box." A Homicide story without "The Box?" ... please. All in all, an OK read
