5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best books in homeopathy since Hahnemann
A groundbreaking work of highest merit. For the first time, Scholten gives a systematic key to the homeopathic use of the periodic table of elements. This new system is supported by the practical evidence of hundreds of successfully treated cases. In our own homeopathic clinic we were able to verify this new system since 8 years. In hundreds of patients, among which there...

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best books in homeopathy since Hahnemann, May 22, 2004

In hundreds of patients, among which there are many with severe pathology, we could confirm the ideas of this book by many fine cures.

It is rather strange to read a book rewiew like the one from the "reader from Winnipeg", who is even such a coward that he/she does not dare to give his/her name. The whole article betrays the ignorance of its author. It is evident that he cannot have even read the book properly, much less having tried to apply its ideas, because his epithet of "mere theory" is disproved by every page. Nearly every element is confirmed by successful cases. - An anonymous slanderer can be safely forgotten. No serious magazine would ever give a place for such anonymous letters.

This review is from: Homoeopathy and the Elements (Hardcover)
I think this book should be part of every homoeopaths libary. It follows on from Scholtens earlier work (homoeopathy and minerals). It is a brilliant book which opens up a whole new field in prescribing . The book is eay to follow and invaluable in pratice. I look for ward to Scholtens next work.

1.0 out of 5 stars All theory, October 11, 2001

This review is from: Homoeopathy and the Elements (Hardcover)
The periodic table has gained increasing interest among hom. pract., mostly through the works of Sankaran, and now emerges Scholten's work, a work alas based on nothing less than whim and fancy. Many of the elements examined here have not only been never been proven, they have never existed in remedial form. In an act of hubris and impatience, Sch.. is undetered, making vast and fantastical claims about these remedies. But strangely, his examination of some well known polycrests, based on a grid system of analysis, at best only vaguely corroborate the therapeutic knowledge and essences we have clealy established and developed through the 200 years and at worst suggests patterns of behavior that, say, a Sulphur patient would never exhibit. That these basic remedies are so wildly incorrect does suggest that his extrapolations may not be of any true value and perhaps the last row of remedies may not after all have magic powers. The appeal of this work, it seems, is that it offers a simple system of understanding, but the world is much wilder and stranger than presented in this volume.
