The Book is a Lie, June 4, 2010
This review is from: The Homosexual Lie (Paperback)
The scientific evidence is overwhelming that so called reparative therapy does not work, that sexual orientation is not a choice but rather a matter of genetics, and that individuals who go through so called reparative therapy leave psychologically damaged and still gay. The alleged scriptural "evidence" against homosexuality in Leviticus is in the purity codes, which the author rather selectively applies since I am confident he eats pork and/or shell fish and wears blended fabrics. The "evidence" from Paul speaks to cultic prostitution, not sexual orientation.
What's most interesting is that the research indicates that those most energized against homosexuality found pictures of men with their shirts off sexually arousing. Stated more plainly, those most distressed by homosexuality tend to be attracted to their same gender.
Unlike this book, which is full of lies, that fact is food for thought, isn't it?
It is this kind of tribal ignorance and fear that is responsible for the slow death of institutional Christianity in the Global North. I suggest that if those who find the author's subject matter energizing spent time feeding the poor and caring for widows and orphans in their distress rather than witch hunting homosexual people, they might come a lot closer to imitating Jesus.

TRUTH, February 3, 2005
This review is from: The Homosexual Lie (Paperback)
What an awesome book, finally someone had the courage a good spirit to speak out against a myth. There's nothing like setting the captive free but be careful because the truth will cause anger to those that chooses self bondage. No longer will I except hearing people say I was born this way as so much as I have chosen this way. To those who chooses to live this lie, you're now about to be arrested, hopefully healed and finally set free. Now the Journey begins.
