It is good for the price. Was only $20. It holds the books ok, but is not very sturdy. If I had to do it again I'd get the wooden one that is only $20 more. It would have definately been worth the extra $$

I was a little hesitant after reading a couple other reviews, however we went ahead because I am not afraid to send it back if I'm not happy lol :)
The first thing I noticed when we opened the package was that they had already had the two sides assembled and they were loose. I simply took my screwdriver and tightened them up and they are fine. Once assembled, our particular item was also a little uneven, so without books in it it will wobble just a small bit. Certainly not anything so terrible it ruined the item for us, as we plan to keep it full of books :)
It took only about 15-20 minutes to assemble.
One thing I would change is to use a second bar across the bottom front for the straps to loop around. This is designed so that you have to screw through the fabric directly into the front legs. The holes were predrilled, however the fabric did not have any small holes for the screws to go through, so you have to kinda wing it and hope you keep the fabric flat and even while screwing it in. Again not a big issue, just a minor design flaw in my opinion.
Overall, I think this is a great little book rack for a little girls area as the colors are just lovely, and it will hold up to casual use (I wouldn't recommend using it for an encyclopedia collection). I think this is definitely worth the $15 I paid, and am happy with my decision to wait for the price to drop.
My daughter has approximately 15-20 books in it, varying in sizes, alot of Fancy Nancy hardcovers. With the weight of the books it sits very stable on carpet, hardwood or tile.

This is exactly what I was looking for for my son's room. It holds all of his books up nicely. About 20 books evenly distributed in each pocket. VERY easy to assemble in 5-10 minutes. Ours doesn't tip or feel flimsy so I imagine with proper assembly yours wont either. Make sure the screws are nice and tight. Easy access for toddler hands and just as easy for him to clean up on his own. Not meant for use with tons of books or in classroom/library setting but perfect for bedroom/playroom!

tips over even with only a few books in it, whether on tile or the rug. wood was falling apart as we were putting the screws in. research for something better, more stable and not so cheap and cheesy. overall-not worth it!
