Product Description

Stuck in an older home with outdated and aging bathroom fixtures? The Slip on Portable Shower from Holmz-Selfix is the perfect way to take a refreshing hot shower when it wouldn't be possible otherwise. The locking lip rubber adapter slips over your tub faucet and diverts the water into the vinyl hose and out the shower head. The wall bracket holds the head in place and attaches to any smooth surface with the heavy duty suction cup. Will not work on faucets with a shower pull pin.

Customer Reviews

Adapter would not fit over faucet.
James Seibert
The pressure gets to be too much and it pushes it off, but not before water goes flying everywhere.
JenDiggity
This did not fit the spout on my tub.

Right on the back it says "This product is not suitable for tub spouts equipped with a lift pin for a shower."

Had the description been included online then what is prominently listed on the back would have advised me not to buy this. I'm sure it'll work fine otherwise; it seems appropriately sturdy. But it knows what kinds of faucets it won't fit yet you don't find out until it's in your hands. Not sure whose fault that is but be warned now. Tubs with pins for turning on the shower will not work with this product, by their own design.

My bathroom only has a bath--no shower head. You press this onto your bathtub nozzle and it turns your tub into a personal shower spray or (as I use it) as a shower. You can slip it off if you want a bath, no glue or anything. Just rubber that grips your bath nozzle.

Had another slip-on portable shower and it didn't work well at all. If the pressure was turned up even a little, the shower grip would fly off of the nozzle.

But this product is excellent! No slippage whatsoever, grips much much much better. It's never slipped off once. Plus, it has a nice wall attachment that keeps the shower head above your head, and it slips off nicely for use as a personal shower spray.

Excellent product.

Poorly designed, and ultimately useless. The section that is supposed to "fit" over the faucet is made of a hard thick material rather than a rubberized funnel that can fit tightly enough around the faucet... Instead, no matter how you twist and turn and try to get it to cover the faucet, the end result is always water spout every which way except through the shower head! Its truly one of the worst designed products Ive seen... And I'm not saying this because my faucet had a shower mechanism on it, etc -- I have just your average bathtub faucet that my old rubber hand held shower attachment worked fine on... this one cost double the amount and doesnt work.

I found this product in a store several years ago, bought it, and used it happily. I don't recall what happened to it, but bought this one when I couldn't find another one in any stores -- I have a garden tub in my new house, but no sprayer, and would like to be able to wash my hair and rinse off after sitting in oils, bubbles, etc., without going from the tub to the shower. Unfortunately, the product dimensions on Amazon did not reveal what is clearly printed on the package, that it fits faucets 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" in diameter. My faucet is closer to 2". Very disappointing!!

My tub has an oddly shaped, large, roman tub faucet which was too big to fit a small/regular sized shower hose onto. Of the limited number of portable shower hoses available, this one seemed to be the only one that would work. When it arrived I attached it to the faucet, (some force was required to slide it on right), and then I tested it out. The shower works great and the pressure is as good as our plumbed shower. One note of caution: My home has pretty good water pressure and when I turned the hot and cold taps on to full, at the same time, the pressure overwhelmed the seal and spayed water all over me, quite amusing but something that folks with good water pressure may want to avoid. This is no problem anyway because having both the hot and cold on full, gives cold water anyway because the cold pressure is always greater than the hot pressure. I am able to put the hot tap on full and the cold tap on enough to achieve the perfect temperature from the shower head.

This product is ideal for people who don't have a shower head built into the tub and who have a large faucet that won't fit a regular size shower hose.

This would work GREAT if only I didn't have a tub spout with the standard shower pull-knob (the knob you pull to divert water from spout to regular showerhead). Mine, like most, is located on top of the spout, which prevents the "slip on" sleeve from getting high enough on the spout for a good seal.

From what I can tell, this product would require a SMOOTH TUB SPOUT with an in-wall (or other knob-less style) of switch to divert water.

Once paired with a compatible tub spout, it seems like this product would be GREAT!

Holmz-Selfix 04430201.04 Slip-On Portable Shower I have been looking everywhere for a portable hand held shower head that I can put over the tub faucet spout to help with bathing my dog. This was about all that I could find. Unfortunately, my tub faucet spout is square and too wide for the attachment to fit over it. I'm sure it would work well with a rounded faucet spout. The first thing I noticed is the note that it is NOT suitable for tub spouts that have a lift pin to engage the shower. Many tubs have this lift pin (along with mine) and I wish it would have been stated up front. The total length of the apparatus is 5'-6" and the actual shower head part looks VERY cheap. The hose and spout attachment are of better quality. Included is a suction cup attachment for the wall to mount the shower head onto. I tried using the shower head on my bathroom sink faucet spout for washing hair and it leaked water all over the counter (that spout is also squared). So I would definately say a rounded spout is REQUIRED. As for my overall opinion - CHEAP! What can I say - it's made in China.
