Functional, but not the strongest.,

I put two of these on my Honda Element and drove from California to Nevada and back. No problem. They are engineered to be just strong enough, and no stronger (mostly plastic and very light aluminum parts), so I wouldn't trust them as security devices, but they're easy to get on and off and it's easy enough to get bikes up and down.Be warned: the bike jaws don't snap shut very tight, so I always locked the jaws for travel. I would prefer greater tension so that I wouldn't have to lock them if security weren't a concern... it's easy to lose a key. |
