Book Description

Did Abraham Lincoln really walk on water? Was George W. Bush as stupid as he looked? President’s Day—a worthwhile holiday? And what’s the deal with futuristic bathrooms?

Contrarian columnist Jonathan David Morris presents "The Honest Truth About Honest Abe (The Best of Read JDM)," a collection of 20 essays on everything from the War on Christmas, American Idol, and hoverboards to the mildly disconcerting prospect of finding the Virgin Mary in your food.

This exclusive ebook collection features a brand new introduction by the author and two fiction excerpts, including the first three chapters of JDM’s debut novel, "The Best Sniper Ever," and the shocking first chapter of the novella, "Versus Nurture."

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read! February 19, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was perfect for me because it's a collection of brilliantly written articles. It''s great for when you have short periods of time and you are looking for something good to read. The articles are thought provoking and quite witty. My favorite thing about this book is that it feels like the author is having a conversation with you. You don't feel like the author is talking down to the reader or being too verbose - it feels like you coulld be talking to him in a bar. One of my favorite articles is "mourning in America" about the passing of Ronald Reagan. That article brought back so many memories for me. I like how Mr. Morris chose the articles for the book - they are so varied - there's something for everyone! I've all ready recommended this book to several friends & I just downloaded the Best Sniper Ever. I can't wait to read it! I will definitely be a follower of this up & coming author!
