4.0 out of 5 stars Good Ironing Board
I replaced my heavy ironing board of 30 years because it was difficult to put up and put down - heavy and awkward which this one is not - it's light in weight and stands sturdy - not wobbly. I'm very happy with it. It doesn't creak and groan like my old one and my daughter liked the up-to-date ironing board cover - I didn't know it but my old ironing board cover...

I'm the mom of 3 boys from 5 to 15 years old. Previously had an excellent more expensive ironing board which the boys ruined after pouncing on it one time too many. Decided to cut my losses and buy a less expensive ironing board. Boy, do I regret that decision.

From the first moment that I used the Honey-Can-Do board, it was extremely wobbly. After just a couple of weeks, the bottom stability rod broke and I had to fix it with duct tape. Now that isn't holding and I'm forced to look for a replacement yet again. This time, the problem wasn't my boys, but rather the poor construction of this product.

Now, I'm going back to buying the more expensive board and warning the boys that if they pounce this one, the next replacement will be on their dime. I bought the Honey-Can-Do on 10/01/09, so this didn't even make it 5 months, including with the duct tape fix. The only good thing about the Honey-Can-Do BRD-01295 is the orange cover.

I am very unhappy with this product. The two cross-legs are too short and the unit rocks back and forth when used. It's a pain in the neck.

much to my dismay, product is not manufactured well and does not stand up straight. this leaves it with a wobble and renders it almost useless for ironing anything that requires stability.

Color splintering off legs. Legs not straight. Board wouldn't remain standing. Not even worth the energy to repackage it and send it back.

I am the type of person who always reads reviews, but never writes them. Well, for this item, I cannot pass up writing a review. Before purchasing this ironing board, I read all of the reviews (which are mostly negative), and decided to buy it anyway. My thoughts were, "I'm sure those other reviewers who gave it low stars were much pickier than I am.", "It'll still do the job." and "How bad can an ironing board really be?" Let me tell you... I should have listened to those other reviewers... this ironing board is beyond awful! Picking it up, it's extremely light, and just feels flimsy. Once I got it set up, the ironing board legs weren't level so it wobbled from side to side as I tried to iron a shirt. When I set the iron down for a moment on the board, the iron fell off because the ironing board was so tipsy; good thing my children weren't standing nearby while I worked!! Also, the ironing board cover did not fit snugly and was extremely cheap-looking. This is the worst $30 I've ever spent. I'm contacting amazon for a refund, and will suggest to them to stop carrying this very poorly constructed and unsafe item.

The product arrived on time but was damaged in shipment, due to insufficient packaging. Amazon did replace it. I was not prepared for ironing boards to now be so light weight. It has been many years since I purchased one and was surprised to find them so flimsy. There is nothing wrong with the product but it was not what I expected

1.0 out of 5 stars Wobbly, and cheep, November 10, 2008
This review is from: Honey-Can-Do BRD-01295 Full-Size Ironing Board with Sturdy T-Legs (Kitchen)
When it came it was wobbly and unusable. My dad worked on it and know it stands straight, although not the sturdiest thing in the the world. The cover is very thin and I will be buying another to go over it. Not work the money.
