5.0 out of 5 stars Great for washing hand washables in the machine!
I was looking for the dimensions when I bought this, but didn't see them. For those who are curious, this set includes a sweater bag 19" high x 26" wide and two lingerie bags each 9" high x 17" wide. I find them very useful and am glad I bought them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Some Pro's & Some Con's
I'll start with the pro's :-)

I love these bags. I've had a set of them for almost a year. They get used at least twice a week, and often three or four times. The bags have held up well. I love that they have the drawstring closure rather than zippers. Every zippered bag that I've ever owned has failed. This includes ones with metal zippers and ones with...

I'll start with the pro's :-)

I love these bags. I've had a set of them for almost a year. They get used at least twice a week, and often three or four times. The bags have held up well. I love that they have the drawstring closure rather than zippers. Every zippered bag that I've ever owned has failed. This includes ones with metal zippers and ones with plastic zippers.

I have never had an item escape the bag. I use them for bras constantly. They are also used for tanks, delicate tops, hosiery, handkerchiefs, etc. I've never had the closure toggle loosen in the wash. The bag always comes out of the wash still tightly closed. I've also never used them on a heavy duty cycle. I wash all of my delicates on the delicate cycle. I have never used them in the dryer; so of course, I have not experienced the melting that others have noted.
I like the fabric that the bags are made of. I think that the more open mesh fabric used in many other bags can be rough on sweaters and some delicate fabrics.

The con's:

I paid $6.99 for this set (on Amazon) in August 2009. I have wanted to buy more sets since then, but the price has never returned to anything near $6.99 again (at least not when I've looked for it). It's now August 2010, and they are $13.09. It's not that I can't afford to spend thirteen bucks - but I feel so ripped off when the prices on Amazon fluctuate like this. It happens a LOT.

Another con is the comments that Honey-Can-Do left on the two current one-star reviews. The item is supposed to be guaranteed, and yet there is the company saying that they won't replace the product. I guess the "limited" part of the "limited lifetime guarantee" means they "limit" themselves to doing NOTHING to satisfy customers who received faulty merchandise.

Telling the customer to return the product to the retailer is useless. With the cost of shipping, it's a waste of time to send small items like this back. The last time I returned some items to Amazon (not related to this purchase); Amazon only returned a portion of my purchase price on the defective products. I no longer purchase items from Amazon unless I am fairly certain about the product quality, fit, etc. - and the price has to be considerably lower than other sellers who stand by their products (and give full refunds when the products don't meet expectations).

4.0 out of 5 stars Mesh wash bag, December 16, 2008
This review is from: Honey-Can-Do LBG-01148 3-Piece Mesh Wash Bag Set, White (Kitchen)
It's a nice set, but it doesn't have zipper, so you have to pull strings to close it, so the items stay in the bag. Zipper ussually works better.

These have a tight drawstring with a spring-loaded clip. No zippers to snag on other wash-load items.

The big one is much larger than I imagined (I didn't whip out the tape measure when I ordered.) But it should fit a bulky sweater!

The two smaller ones are perfect for delicate shirts or a handful of panties!

I have used these for a few months now, and they are standing up well to being used my two females with all our various and sundry items! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool! Great for nice clothes!, September 20, 2011

I'm someone who often wears delicate clothes. I own a lot of nice dresses and stockings and cute random things, like expensive shirts with glitter and a lot of little parts. I dreaded hand-washing these items, because it's extremely time consuming. It led me to not wear my fun clothes as often, which was a huge disappointment. Which is why I sought out these bags. I am very pleased with them. This set of three is perfect because I can wash pretty much everything that's dirty all at once without them getting tangled. I put underwear and stockings in the small bag, long socks in the medium bag, and then dresses in the large bag. The large bag is great because I can shove in up to four of my summer dresses. They are drawstring, with that plastic thing to keep them shut. They stay sealed when I wash. I also put them in the dryer, and I've had no problems with that. The bags are very smooth and more like soft fabric than mesh, which is probably a good thing for the clothes. You have to keep in mind, all washing machines spin, so the clothes end up in a bunch at the bottom of the bag. So it's not a wrinkle-free thing to use. It does prevent stockings from tangling, because they remain isolated in the bag. But it's not something I would use for work clothes. I don't mind my clothes being a little wrinkled so it's no problem for me. But some people may prefer to iron their clothes instead of having them slightly wrinkled after using these. It's no fault of the bag, I think any would be that way. But it is important to note that these bags are soft, not stiff, so if you are very particular about that you should find an alternative. I really love these and now I don't have to hesitate when I'm choosing clothes that are picky for washing. Awesome!

I was looking around for washing bags and I like these ones because they don't have a zip that can accidentally open in the laundry. They have worked great through 5 washes and still feel strong and sturdy.

These different size bags are very handy for delicate items like hosiery and lingerie that need some safe-guarding in the washer.

Very good quality wash bags. Soft fabric and very secure tie to keep clothes inside bag while being washed. Highly recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for delicates, 3 bags fits most clothing, October 1, 2011

Honey Can Do 3-piece Laundry Wash Bags

These wash bags are designed for delicates and other articles of clothing that may get snagged or tangled and damaged with other clothing in a washing machine or dryer. This 3 piece kit comes with 2 smaller bags and 1 larger bag. The bags are sealed using a drawstring and a small plastic spring-loaded retainer (cord lock).

The 2 small bags are perfect for smaller items like T-shirts, pants, racing suit liners, etc... The larger bag can hold much larger items or more items.

The mesh is a polyester with a fine weave. I did notice that Velcro can get tangled with the mesh, and that one of the bags came from the factory with a small defect in the weave. The stitching used to seal the bags is rather lightweight. I bought a Tide wash bag that tore apart in the first wash, and luckily these Honey Can Do bags have endured several washings. These bags are covered by a lifetime warranty, if service is required they list contact information on the back of the packaging. The defect resembles a small hole, but it is more like the weaving process omitted 3-4 strands in that section. So far it is holding up well.

Some of my friends have bought wash bags from Bed Bath and Beyond that didn't last very long due to tearing at the seam or mesh, but the Honey-Can-Do wash bags seem durable enough.

I used these wash bags for my motorcycle gear, specifically liners (sort of like Under Armor liners) for my racing suit, helmet, as well as helmet liners and padding. These can easily get tangled and damaged in the wash without using a wash bag.

Overall: 4/5 stars, could use heavier stitching for the bags to prevent premature failure at the seams, one of the bags came with a slight defect in the mesh weave.

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful in the kitchen for drying greens, too, February 5, 2011

I purchased 2 sets of these mesh bags, one for the laundry room (obvious use), and also one for the kitchen. I use mesh bags for washing and spin drying lettuce and herbs. Rinse in the bag, shake dry over the sink, then spin the bag around by the string as fast as you can to dry the greens. (I step out onto my patio for that step so I don't spray the kitchen with water.) Then I pop the dried greens into a green bag with a paper towel to wick away any remaining moisture, and they stay fresh for weeks. When they're due for a wash just pop them in the laundry. They take much less storage space than a conventional plastic salad spinner.
