5.0 out of 5 stars Every track better than the previous. ALL 13 songs GREAT
Absolutely love this CD !!!!! I can honestly claim that ALL the songs are great and that I do not really have a favorite. This is pretty rare with a CD. Too many times I buy a CD and there are only maybe 2 or 3 songs I listen to. Such a huge waste of money.
If I really must narrow it down #5 "All I Wanna Do" is a notch ahead. It's just a fun song you want to...

1.0 out of 5 stars DISAPPOINTING RE-ENTRY TO THE GAME!!
I have been an Al B Sure! fan since the beginning like most of you so when I went to my local library and saw this I was shocked to see he even had a recent disc and on a major label too with virtually no promotion so when I took it home I was rooting for my man. The "In Effect Mode" album to me is his masterpiece and everything since then has been lackluster on a whole...

5.0 out of 5 stars Every track better than the previous. ALL 13 songs GREAT, June 23, 2009

It's just a fun song you want to get up and dance to or listen to while working out. The close contender is #7 "Dedicate My All". It's a song that really makes you think and wish someone that special is in your life. Dedicate My All is destined to be played at many weddings and/or wedding recpetions. But then there is #6 "Lady In My Life" that will definitely be played at many many many weddings. Number 11 "Fragile" should be our national song from Obama. Sting did this song about 10 years ago. Al B Sure does a remake of it. Not to put down the legendary Sting but Sure makes it seem like Sting on turbo blast !!!!!
Al B Sure created a masterpiece in this CD. He brings back R & B like it use to be. It seems each track has its own unique analogy to something in everyday life. Buy it. It's WELL worth your money simply because you will love ALL songs on this CD. Since getting the CD this morning I've already replayed the entire CD 3 times ! Ok off to work I go but I know what CD will be blasting in my car while stuck in traffic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Honey I'm Home!! In A Big Way, June 23, 2009
This review is from: Honey I'm Home (Audio CD)
Hey all:

Any of Al B. Sure's fans from the 90's will definitely dig the project, he has not missed a beat. The single "I Love It" was the perfect song to re-introduce him. My favorites are "4 Life", "Lady in My Life", and "Fragile", but I am digging the entire project. Props to Hidden Beach for bringing back Mr. Sure!!

I love the new CD! I'm so happy that Al B. is back!!! I absolutely love "I Love It Papi (Aye Aye Aye)", "Top of Your Lungs" and "Whatcha Got"! This CD is definitely one I can listen to all the way through without skipping a song or two. This is one everyone should have in their collections!

5.0 out of 5 stars Al B. Is Back..., June 23, 2009
This review is from: Honey I'm Home (Audio CD)
Al B. has brought pure R&B back and for this we should be extremely grateful with the junk on the radio today. 'Honey I'm Home' is, as Al has said, 'In Effect Mode on steroids'. It is reminiscent of IEM but in a current 'grown and sexy' way. Each track stands on it's own by showcasing Al's impressive vocal range. The man can imitate Barry White for goodness sake and go as high as...Al B. Sure! I know he was bashed in the early days for his singing but his voice (which IMO has always been beautiful and uniquely suited for what he sings) has evolved in such a way there can be no doubt that this man can SANG his A** off!! He is so versatile vocally that sometimes I caught myself saying 'Is that Al?'. His voice is amazing but that wouldn't mean anything without good music to accompany it. Every song is listenable but my standout favorites are 'I Love It, (Papi Aye Aye Aye)' with his couz/longtime collabo partner Kyle West which is genius. 'I'm Glad' sounds gritty and kinds of catches you off guard but it is so catchy you can't help but like it. Al does MJ justice with his rendition of 'Lady In My Life' - something that should not be taken for granted as being easy - but Al nails it. The outstanding 'Top Of Your Lungs' - the lyrics are clever and dramatic at the same time with the lighthearted music making you feel the hilarity of the situation. 'By The Way, By The Way' is wonderful and I love the way Al takes us to church at the end of 'Only You!'. 'All I Wanna Do' is funky and current, 'Dedicate My All' and 'Fragile' are great...forget it, all the songs are good and others are just outstanding. Add this to your collection, if you're a real R&B fan, you won't regret it.

Al B. Sure was and still remains a great artist. If you enjoyed his previous work then I'm pretty sure this will not be a disappointment to you.

5.0 out of 5 stars WELCOME HOME Al B. Sure! ! We have MISSED YOU!, July 24, 2009
This review is from: Honey I'm Home (Audio CD)
"Honey I'm Home" was a perfect title for this new Al B. Sure! CD. I waited and waited and waited and finally after 17 long years of continually playing his 1st 3 CD's (In Effect Mode (1988), Private Times and The Whole 9 (1990) and Sexy Versus (1992)) Al comes back and FULLY BRINGS IT!
I must say it was well worth the wait.

Al B. brings back the love and romance he captured us with over 22 years ago when he first came on the scene! His THEME of "ROMANCE IS BACK" was definitely lived up to. I can play this CD from Track 1 to 13 without skipping. You can tell ABS! took his time and really put his effort into his latest work. I love the fact that Al used the previous formula that worked for him with his cousin KYLE WEST and his producers Terrence Dudley, Mike Mani, Moe P and etc. He didn't want to change his previous pattern of music and try to be different than what his original style was. I appreciate artists who stay true to their style of artistry that they originally used. I knew that I was going to get quality music because his focus is not all ove the place.

My ultimate favorites are "I Love It (Papi Aye Aye Aye)", Fragile, Lady In My Life (Remake of Michael Jacksons hit song from the "Thriller" album RIP MJJ), ALL I WANNA DO (WHICH SHOULD DEFINITELY BE RELEASED AS A SINGLE), DEDICATE MY ALL , TOP OF YOUR LUNGS and I'm GLAD.

I love how he sang the vocals on TOP OF YOUR LUNGS. Amazing how he has so many voices. It almost sounds like someone else was doing the background vocals, but that is one of the many things I absolutely love about Al B. Sure! "Lady In My Life" is an amazing song and ABS! did MJ's song complete justice. And what a wonderful tribute to the wonderful Michael Jackson.

THANK YOU AL B. SURE! for blessing us once again with your silky, smooth music. Next time, don't make us wait so long.

Toni ;-)

Who would think 15 years later Al B . Sure will create a project better than his debut.? this cd is simply Amazing from beginning to end if you are looking for incredible orchestrated grooves with no over the top Auto tune type vocals then this is your cd. my favorite tracks are 1 to 13 and that is VERY HARD to find in the 2009 crap that is going in every Genre of Music.put it like this Al b Sure in my opinion created THE MICHAEL JACKSON COMEBACK WE WILL NEVER HEAR. if you have some extra money in this economy treat yourself to one of the finest music projects i have heard in the last 10 years honestly.

Al B. Sure came back strong. This is a smooth CD with some recycled cuts however, if you are an Al B. Sure fan from the 90's fan, you like smooth R&B and you are looking for something to play that will not disappoint, this may be the CD for you. I can't make any promises that everyone will like every single song on the CD but in my opinion, it sounds good all the way through! I hope this helps. YMMV!

Glad I got hipped to this one. To tell you the truth I wasn't dealing with Mr. Sure this time around. I saw Nite and Day listed and thought, I've already been here before. So while sampling I skipped it and headed on into "I Love It Papi". I was like, I've been here before too. Another tale of a great between the sheets lover (yawn) The groove arrived for me with the arrival of "I'm Glad". Next up was "Top Of Your Lungs", of course I was going "Oh no, not again" but it's not what I thought it was. (Shows how one's preconceived thoughts can be be so wrong.) It's actually about a relationship gone bad and the hope of reconciliation. Nice jam. Next up is "All I Wanna Do" with it's bounce beats. It's ok. It's not bad, and if I'm in the mood, I can bounce with it. From here to the finish tho, IT'S ON!!! That's a no doubt about it! Best of this bunch for me being Michael Jackson's "Lady In My Life", "Dedicate My All", "Only You" (which samples one of my favorite Isley Brothers tracks (Highways Of My Life), Sting's "Fragile" (superb)and "4 Life", which samples another classic, Stevie Wonder's "Visions". Closing out a tuff cd is a tuff jam that I'm really feeling, "Never Stop Loving You". Oh yeah, B Sure. Climb aboard.
